1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Have not received feedback/organizer does not communicate on: May 28, 2010 04:55:29 PM
I have both received and sent all of the items required in a swap which ended over a month ago. I have posted pictures and kept in contact with all of my partners and the organizer. The organizer was also one of my swap partners and I sent her package and she still has not posted the items that she received. It took her a couple of weeks and two messages to acknowledge that she did receive it. Everyone has received positive feedback but my status still says "in progress". The delay in communication as well as no feedback makes me feel like I didn't send good enough items for the swap, but everyone seemed to like what I sent.
I've asked the organizer two or three times about feedback with no response. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

I know that I can open a help desk ticket but I don't know how. Where is the link? Sorry if that is a dumb question.

I don't want to seem whiny or like I am complaining, I am just frustrated because I invested time and money into the swap and I feel like it has become more of a hassle than fun. I also had someone flake on me during this swap, so that didn't help either.

Thanks for all of your help.
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Retro Mushroom Swap?? on: February 18, 2010 04:14:25 PM
So I noticed a while ago that some of you have done a retro mushroom swap before I joined the boards. And recently since I have started doing swaps I have noticed that a lot of people share my love of retro mushroom motifs. Is anyone interested in bringing the retro mushroom swap back to life? I would start it, but I am too busy to run a swap right now, although I will certainly be a swapper!
3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Discussion and Questions / Plaid Silk Screening Paint? on: December 21, 2009 10:02:54 PM
I recently came across a product from Plaid called "Silk Screening Paint". It's made to be used with pre-made stencils that have the screen built in. They are very affordable - about $3 a bottle at A.C. Moore - and they are water based.

Does anyone have any experience using these with a real silk screen process? I am a little leery of using them on my YUDU screens because I am afraid that it won't wash out.

Any information about this product would be helpful. I've been looking online but can't seem to find much about it.

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Craft Apron on: January 10, 2009 07:36:52 PM
I recently was given a really nice sewing machine for my birthday and this was one of my first projects! I was super easy to make. I got the pattern from an old copy of Adorn Magazine and tweaked it a bit to fit my style.

You can find more close up pictures on my blog:

Thanks for looking!

5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Mini Bird Shadowboxes (img heavy) on: April 29, 2008 11:26:10 AM
This is a vamp I did of some little dollar tree shadowboxes. They are repainted and lined with vintage fabric!

The embroidery designs are my own designs. I use DMC thread on linen. Hope you enjoy!

(Sorry the pictures are at weird angles because of the glass glare)
