try loom knitting,
you can also make your own , I even saw one online made out of  soda bottle
all you need is pegs, that are evenly spaced and same height. some use wood and nails as pegs
also look up finger knitting, which willl make a nice skinny scarf
These rock! And so do those jammies! As a knitting newbie I doubt I could attempt this but your beautiful non-tangled earbuds make me wish I could. Boogie down girl 'cause you are awesome!

T-shirt yarn project

I was curious of the idea of using t-shirt yarn.
This site describes how to make yarn out of t-shirt. I have tons of shirts, but don't necessarily have the time to give them away at the thrift store, they are closed on sundays.

This was the test I made. I was very happy with it.

1 t-shirt made 20x16 square, therefore you'll need many many t-shirts to make something much larger. If you look up 'weave it' , you find many pdf docs on their old catalogs and nice stuff to do with squares.

2 Don't cut less than 1 inch wide strips, because too thin will break easily when wounding into ball.

3 It's suggested select a t-shirt with some color mixed in, such as a pattern. In this case there was some blue and brown.

4 Tight knit is 'strong' and not soft, would be good for household items such as rugs, coasters, hand scrubber, rather than for apparel.

The only negative I see at this point, when using a tshirt that had seams, the seams show on purl side somewhat.

i have blogspot, but there is not much 'foot traffic'.  how many people really re-visit blogs....

try a facebook fan page instead, this way you are in contact with those that will go to page and you don't need to do any programming or css. just upload files and write 'notes'
