1  Owl & Ophelia in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by lylacfey on: June 24, 2013 05:29:41 AM
Hi! I haven't shared anything for the longest time. I bought a home and it has been keeping me busy. I finally back in my art studio. I made these two cards.

Ophelia- Ophelia is a stamped image. I made the background she is stamped on with alcohol inks. Plum mat was made with acrylic paints. The pattern paper is from my stash.

Owl- I converted a coloring page into a die cut image. I colored his beak, feet, branch and leaves with alcohol marker's. The pattern paper is from my stash.

Thanks for looking.

3  Re: Stuff an Envelope Swap (INTERNATIONAL) (sendouts by 30/1) GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by lylacfey on: January 26, 2012 06:26:13 PM
Thank you everyone! I had fun doing the swap. All the die cuts I did myself, including the felt horses. I am doing ok. Life is still wonky at my home. February is a new month and hopefully much better.

I received from Momof2 today. She sent a cute envelope. Her Aunt made the peacock earrings. Momof2 made the needle book and shrinky dink dinosaurs.

That was my box that made the site crash! Wink ROFL! I know it was because of the sexy vampire pic. Smiley

I received my matchbox late Saturday. I am sorry for the late pics. I am in the area for all the flooding that is on the news. I live on a hill so I did not flood but everything around me is flooded.

I received a gorgeous mermaid box from wax51. I just adore it. It was wrapped in a cut little bag. I just adore that bag. Smiley I loved everything inside. I love all the sea stickers she included and the wing. Everything in the box was a favorite.

Here's all the pics:

Everything Together:

Thank you for everything wax.

Pics uploaded! Smiley

I received the most beautiful matchbox from QueenNinjaMonkey. It's so perfect for me. Thank you so much QNM. I truly do love it.

Here's the front of the box. A beautiful mermaid:

The back of the box is Russian. It meant so much to me.

All the goodies:

I arranged my favorites at the bottom. I had so many favorites it was hard to choose.

I am so sorry about the quality of photos. It was storming here and hard to get any decent lighting.

Here's Cas from Alexandra-the-Great!

He's all mine! Cheesy! I love him so much. My DH kept saying that was the coolest thing he ever seen. Thank you again Alexandra.

This was the best pic out of about two dozen that came out right. Cas does not like to be photographed.

7  Re: Beginners inchie swap gallery (send out by 16th Feb) in The Swap Gallery by lylacfey on: January 25, 2011 07:52:25 AM

Ok everyone prepared to be blown away by these inchies.

I received from LimeRiot on Monday. I did try my hardest to get these uploaded but my computer had a glitch and I had to fix her. My computer is my faithful girl but she's getting tired.

I have seen some beautiful inchies. I was completely blown away by Lime Riot's. I haven't even started. Talk about swap nerves now, lol

First the pretty inchie card:

Lime Riot you have the nicest handwriting.

The first batch Crafty:

The second batch Sea:

The third batch Parisian.

The fourth batch Pretty.

I know my mouth dropped open too. Smiley

Thank you so much Lime Riot. My first inchie swap and I now have treasured pieces of art.  I can't even pick out my favorites because they are all incredible.

I am starting my inchies tonight.

I got the best swap package today from LadyLeitzen. Girls get your wisting ready.
First, I am sorry for the bad quality of photos. We have a good camera in the home but not the best lighting. I apologize.

I loved the whole swap package. LadyLeitzen made my DH a gift. Some of you know my DH is really into my swapping. He loves to craft. He always helps me with my swaps. He's also a real sweetheart and a keeper. LadyLeitzen wanted to make him something. Besides me nobody has ever made him anything. Imagine our surprise when I read my note and gave him a package to open. LadyL made this:

Am ami Link. OMG! You should have seen my DH's face. He was downright surprised and started smiling from ear to ear. If he wasn't so shy I would take a pic. My DH is a huge Zelda fanatic. I think this is one of his most treasured presents ever. He made a special place on his desk for Link. LadyL he loves Link's hair. He said you have great crocheting skills. Thank you again. I know I wrote a book about this. It was so very sweet.

I am not done. LadyL individually wrapped each thing. I opened up mine to be greeted with these two beauties:

Now, it's my turn to be surprised and I love each item. I absolutely adore the bag. I asked for a book bag. LadyL came through. It's so sturdy inside. The front has two pockets. The lining matches the pocket. It has a gorgeous snap closure. I really adore this bag. I am going to start carrying it tomorrow. It's just completely my personality. I am a big Green girl.

Look at my ami owl! She is so tiny. I hope it's a she. I keep hugging her. I love her. My DH thinks his Link is special. Please, lol. The button eyes are so cute. I never thought about using buttons for Ami.

LadyL said she packaged everything in a cereal box. Here's the proof:

This is really funny but when my DH got the mail he said "Look it's Tasteoo's from Hyvee." We don't have Hyvee's here in the Ozarks. When my DH grew up in KC they do have Hyvee's. This is my DH's favorite cereal, lol.

Thank you LadyL again. It was the perfect swap.

Alwaysinmyroom- OMG Amazing! You thought my room was eye candy. Thank you for the goddess comment, lol. I am absolutely in love with your play room.

craftylittlemonkey- Here's the promised pics of my paper storage and die cutting table.

First one:

The two decorator boxes under my table are full of specialty papers and ephemera. The green box is my cardstock, Bazzill and designer paper. The large box next to it holds my miscellaneous tools.

The table holds all my electronic die cutters. I keep threatening to declutter them but in the end I do truly love them and they all have different purposes. Once you get into die cutting you start understanding die cutters are very hard to consolidate just to one. I keep my Cricut Create in the living room for quick projects. I will keep my Silhouette also in the living room since it's my main computer die cutter.

Scrap paper box:

The other decorator box holds all my scrap paper. I have everything in there from plain cardstock to specialty. I am in this box several times a week pulling out sheets so I can try a new technique before I use a good sheet of my other stash of paper.

I hope that helps.

10  Re: FrugALong 2010 March theme on First Post in Craftalongs by lylacfey on: March 25, 2010 09:23:19 PM
Ok, now I am really nervous about doing this because some of the craft room on this site are amazing. So be kind. Here's the efforts of all my hard work and tears. Smiley I am really happy with my room and quite proud of it. Final total dollars to organize this room was only $42. One for a new bookshelf and some new bead storage.

First the yarn & fiber closet:

Pretty much all my pics are self explanatory. I use the old comforters for quilt batting so there is a little frugal tip. The bottom part of our closet houses all our yarn, embroidery floss, fabric, DH's treadle and knitting machine. Top closet has all our sewing notions, accessories, my patterns and of course all our machines.

This is the second closet in our room. It houses all our extra tools, DH's bigger supplies and extra storage boxes.

My Mom bought me this dresser for my B-day one year. I store craft kits, journals and other misc tools inside. The glass holds our collection of crochet and knitting needles.

There it is the famous die cutters in all their glory. I do like them on the table because I can snag them fast. The two boxes beside the table holds all my punches. The three boxes under the table hold paper, of course the green basket holds paper. The other plastic box holds more misc tools.

Ok Whimsy girls are you ready? These two shelves are my collection of whimsies. I did use the bottom shelf on the wire stand for my manual die cutter's. The bottom shelf on the book case holds all my stamps. The rest of these shelves are whimsies, rubbons, sticker's beads, ephemera, etc...
The second wire shelf does hold my paint brushes, adhesives and jewelry tools.

I am very proud of this shelf. This is all my inks, paints, markers, color pencils. All of my coloring tools are on these shelves. Yes, each box is a category like calligraphy inks, alcohol based markers like my Copics, Prisma's, Sharpies, etc... Color pencils, you get the idea. Smiley

Finally last but definitely not least. The most important in my precious craft room are my most two precious. Regina and Nevil who help me craft.

That's it. I know phew! LOL. I hope you all enjoy.
