21  Re-Purposing an old Raincoat in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by gleangenie on: April 25, 2008 11:35:54 AM
Hey crafters,

I recently disassembled a much loved but totally worn out raincoat, in the hopes of re-purposing it into a bag. This is what I came up with:

I used pieces of the raincoat material for the outer part of the bag, and an old flowered pillowcase for the lining. I like the combination of colors, but the bag itself isn't as pretty as I'd hoped (I'm new to sewing - just started a few months ago). I'm looking for examples of other, similar projects, to ignite my imagination. I'd also love to hear about bags made from other re-purposed materials.

Thanks for looking!
