1  Irish Baby Blanket in Quilting: Completed Projects by mbug77 on: July 02, 2008 08:48:32 AM
I made this baby blanket last summer and am finally learning how to use this site so I figured I'd post it for you guys to see.  I sadly only have the front shot of it.  The back is done in the same fabric as the border and has an appliqued shamrock on it in a lighter green with the Irish Blessing on it in a darker green.  Let me know what you think.

2  Cloak made for my medieval renactment group in Costumes: Completed Projects by mbug77 on: July 02, 2008 08:36:37 AM
This is a cloak I completed for my medieval reenactment group, Amtgard.
The exterior is some strecthy, reptile print vinyl that I found on the clearance rack at my local fabric store.  The interior is some bottom weight black that I also found on the clearance rack at my local fabric store.  The frog is store bought as well.
I used a butterwick pattern for the cloak that I had used previously to make another one.
I have to say working with the particular type of stretch vinyl was not easy.  And I have learned some things from working with it.  But overall, after a lot of hours and a few choice words at the project, it came out like I had envisioned.  And best part, its wind resistant and water resistant.   Grin
Let me know what you guys think.
