1  Yummy new cards! in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by DearBluebird on: January 31, 2017 10:39:11 AM
Here are some cards that I have made very recently with the help of my gelli plate. I tend to like combinations that aren't found on your average card. They are "different" in a way, but I really love them. I hope you enjoy them too.

2  Brooches/Scarf pins in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by DearBluebird on: January 30, 2017 10:37:33 AM
I haven't been on Craftster in quite a long time. I deal with a lot of health issues and it takes me away from creating sometimes.
This is my first post in a long while.

I thought I would share with you all some photos of some brooches/pins I have made today. I have fallen in love with gelli printing and I have used
some of my prints to create these geometric pins. Some of the papers are just straight gelli prints and some have also been stamped or drawn on.
I hope you enjoy them!

Thanks for looking.

I received my p.l. from Grufflepuff. She chose my Zombies theme and came up with this great p.l. based on Zombieland (a personal favorite).

She decorated the outside with a great retro look and used items that I can reuse.

Here is the front of the p.l. If you aren't familiar with the film, the narrator talks to the viewer throughout the film about the important "rules" to survive the zombie apocalypse. Some of those are listed here in the p.l. Smiley

Thanks grufflepuff. I love it and I am sorry it took me so long to post pics.

I owe Rockingbearranch an apology. I just realized I did not post photos of the zentangle B card she sent to me. It's a great addition to the growing collection. Thank you and sorry about the delay.

Sorry it is posting sideways for some reason. Sad

8  UPDATED: Distress Stain Inchies in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by DearBluebird on: May 24, 2016 11:13:01 AM
I purchased a 3 pack of Tim Holtz distress stains a while back on clearance at Michael's. I wasn't sure what to do with it, but it was so cheap I went ahead and bought one. Today I was just wanting to create *something* so I used a piece of watercolor paper I had just sort of doodled on and pulled out the distress stains. I have a red, yellow, and blue stain. The stains are very easy to use and in a bottle with a sort of dabber like top. I just smeared a good amount of each color on the page and encouraged their blending by adding a little water in between each color transition. Once it was almost dry I used a wet paint brush and splattered water droplets onto it. Once it was dry I used some fun stamps in a black ink all over the page. Here is the finished product:

The distress stains give a really bold amount of color which I love. Let me know what you think!

I loved how the inchies turned out but felt like they need more. So I added some stuff and I think they really look great. Here is the updated photos:

Here is the amazing supply package I received from Audio.

I apologize for the photos but I am having major trouble loading today. NOw that I got it to work, for some reason the photos are turned.

It was a very generous package that included a large stamp set, 2 embossing powders, 3 large embossing folders and 4 border embossing folders, two empty altoid tins, and TONS of paper items. There are old paperback text books and illustrated bird guides, pages from old yearbooks, childrens books, flashcards, photos, and MORE. So much more. Thanks Audrey. I cannot wait to get started using some of the cool things you sent. I hope you liked your package as much as I liked mine. Thanks again.

Here is the super cute mug rug I received from Holliewood. I apologize it has taken me so long to post pics. Time has just got away from me. I've already been enjoying it, although I need a new mug because this mug rug is so pretty and bright that none of my mugs seem cool enough for it.

It's really bright and cheery with a rainbow color story and the back is surprisingly awesome.

I like the back as much as the front. I am a huge Wonder Woman fan.
