1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Kid's Felt Crown (pic heavy!) on: May 25, 2008 04:52:17 PM
Hey everyone =D I just finished this "experiment" and it turned out pretty good so I thought I'd share.

So, here is the story, I was at a craft fair this winter and I bought this adorable crown for my son:

he put it on and I couldn't say no (I know, I'm such a softy!!)

So anyways, after inspecting and being a little shocked that I spent $10 on it, I decided that I could totally make one.  I am going to visit my little brother and sister next week, so I figured making a few for them would be a perfect opportunity to figure out how to do it! I have not started the one for my sister yet, but here is the one I made for my little bro (he is 5):

My 2 year old son, Oliver, modeling it:

(sorry about the no shirt!)

After I am done with the one for my sister and feel more confident with the process, I can attempt to make a tutorial, so let me know if you are interested in one please!

Thanks for looking =D
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Summer Tote (pic heavy!) on: May 24, 2008 05:42:45 PM
I just finished this tote and decided to share because I think it came out super cute!

Here is the outside (its the same on both sides):

And me holding it (good thing I'm smart and crafty, because I wouldn't cut it in Modeling! LOL!):

I used a dark contrasting fabric for the lining and quilted some scraps for the pocket:

Thanks for looking! =D
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Tattoo Hottie Tote on: May 21, 2008 05:25:58 PM
I made this tote for a swap and really love how it came out.  My boyfriend likes it so much he doesn't want me to send it! But I told him too bad! I really hope the recipient loves it as much as I do! =D

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / The Hippest Hipster (Fanny Pack) on: May 21, 2008 05:14:37 PM
Ok, so hi  everyone!! I am Rose and this is my first post here on Craftster. I have been enjoying the works of others on here for a while now, and the completed projects have been so inspiring!  I fell head over heels in love with this amazing tutorial (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=31379.0) a few weeks ago and just had to make one for myself.

I altered a few things, and messed up a few parts, but I still love how it came out! I use it ALL the time!!  Since I have a two year old, I love to have my phone, ATM card, keys and a pacifier right there on my hip Grin its very handy!

Instead of a curved bottom, which looked very hard to me, I just made it a square.  And I used snaps for the belt closure instead of velcro, and also put some on the flap to help prevent my cell phone from falling out.

Ok, so enough talk, here are the pictures!! :-) Please feel free to give feed back, I am still a newbie and would love any tips you vets may have!  Thanks!

P.S. Sorry about the links but they it let me insert pictures!  Undecided
