21  Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 59 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by spotnik on: June 16, 2010 04:08:14 PM
Hey gang!  I received yesterday - TWO wonderful swap packages.  Get those wisting fingers warmed up!

First, from claire313, 3 amazing tote bags.  The one on the top is embroidered along the edge; the middle one is applique'd; and the bottom one is made from a pillow case, and the colors are fab!

Second, from A2K a coiled bowl and coasters!  The colors on this are gorgeous!  And as I told A2K, these (esp. the coasters) will come in very handy as I am about to get a coffee table!   Grin

Thank you so very much ladies - I feel very spoiled.   Kiss

So, I am a total slacker.  I received a wonderful package from Ifallthraindrops about a week ago and am just now getting to post pics.  (Sorry for the delay).

Check it out!

Absolutely wonderful slippers for the husband.  He loves them so very much (and is thrilled that he received a gift as part of one of our swaps.)  Receiving these made his day.

And a totally cute bag.

(pardon the lint please - I've been using it as a project bag already.  Cheesy )

I also received today from ThatsWhatSheSaid - fleece and knitted produce bags.  The fleece is great, so soft.  And I love the produce bags.  The colors are fab and I can hardly wait to go grocery shopping (Pfft - I never thought I'd say that) and show off my new bags to the checkout attendant.

Yay for Ongoing Wish Swaps and awesome partners!  Thanks again so very much you two!

I received today from Juliana13.  She sent 2 wonderful bracelets -

One is solid green and the other is blue, green and purple:

Check out this pattern in the middle of the bracelet - I have no idea how she did this.

Thanks Juliana - I love them!!

I received from both dannispring240 and DeannaLynn06.  Sweet goodies!  Check it out:
(Pardon the picture quality please - I live in a rainy area, and we haven't had any sun in days, so I had to use indoor lighting)

From dannispring240, an awesome bag and some really cool fleece.

And from DeannaLynn06, some wisty goodness.  Smiley  Handmade notecards and envelopes and some lemon and orange sugar scrubs.  Yum!

Thanks ladies!  You rock!

I am glad you like your bracelet teffy!  (The colors are actually a dark blue, black and silver-ish).  Cheesy

Here is the bracelet I received from darkangelwingz - I tried to get a better picture of the knotting (which is beautiful) but alas, I am not that good of a photographer.

28  Muppet? in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by spotnik on: April 14, 2010 09:34:15 PM
Hi gang!  So, I am in the Ongoing Wish Swap Round 57.  One of my partners requested a monster plushie.  I made 2 of them, but the one I am posting here really reminded me of a Muppet once I got him finished (I am calling him Sparky).  I guess you can tell when someone grew up watching the Muppet Show.   Grin

Sparky is made of a wool/acrylic blend yarn (Comfort by Berroco).  I added some felt and suncatcher eyes.  I made the pattern up as I went, and he's actually really simple.  The body is just a crocheted rectangle folded in half, and the arms and legs are made in the amigurumi style.

Thanks for looking!  Comments and criticism always welcome!!  Cheesy

Finally getting pics of March's blanket posted.  I am a little slow right now.   Cheesy

It is a wool/acrylic blend, heavyweight yarn in a V stitch.

Please ignore the misc craft supplies lying around (and the crazy curtain  Wink )
