26  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 18 ENTRIES / Nintendo Controller Baby Rattle on: May 01, 2007 08:39:29 AM
Ill be first I guess LOL , or else Ill forget to get mine posted!!!
I was inspired by many craftsters here who made the Nintendo PILLOW, messenger bag, blanket, tons of nintendo controller themed items. My DH and I are total gamer geeks! We are also due w/ baby #4 (ITS A GIRL!!) in october so I wanted to make my object functional as well.
SO I sat down and cut all the little felt pieces out to make a Nintendo Controller Rattle.
Its made from felt and stuffed w/ poly fill. I used a water bottle cap filled w/ hard beans thats sealed inside for the "rattle" part.
DH suggested adding the ribbon "cord" at the top so we can hook it onto a stroller or carseat for the baby.
Im so excited about my item because I know how much love and care it will get from our baby !! All the buttons are sewn on to ensure when she chews on it she wont chew anything off and swallow it.
Here it is, I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it!

First I apologize for the size of my photos for dial up users! (hugs)

27  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / iron on letters tee for gift on: October 27, 2006 05:29:54 AM
boy im getting lazy now days arent I ?? havent had a sew and show in .. wow.. yeah about that long
My Nephew will be 26 tomorrow. we were talking the other day on the phone about what he would like blah blah. Told him I was going to make him something. Asked him if he wanted the naked girl bath towels like I made another friend. he said he wanted the towels for xmas. but instead for his bday a shirt. With a original saying. And here it is
I was going to do a big logo and stuff in Word and then print it on iron on paper etc but he likes the starkness of this Just letters and his saying. Its something he came up with the other day. Anyway .. enjoy! kat
28  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Gold Dragons ? Where ? on: October 06, 2006 03:03:25 PM
I shall SLAY THEM ALL!!!
So.. yeah. I cut this out and had it on my sewing table yesterday. I spent most of the day yesterday putting the dragon applique on it.
only for my swap box to come and tristan to demand that he wants to be a pirate.:p
I finished this up this morning. and I guess it will be going on my HC monday and Im off to work on pirate-y stuff.
Its a sz 7/8 boys. white cord w/ lame dragon and cap w/ velcro closure. Rope ties in back in white and gold.
tiny flaw I didnt notice until I was putting the ties on and it upset me. The fabric has a tiny pen size blue dot on it onthe back shoulder.
