4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Okay so I have this fabulous dress ... on: June 09, 2008 05:54:11 AM
Pictures of both? Blue & purple are in the same color family, both would have to be pretty far toward an 'impure' color or blend to make them clash, i.e. a maroon-ish purple and a teal blue.

Honestly your hair is probably easier to change than the dress, once the dress is dyed it's dyed, your hair on the other hand will eventually grow out.

oh no i'm not hoping to dye my dress or my hair ! i was hoping to try and use this dress to make a pattern for another one that i could fashion in any colour ! x
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Okay so I have this fabulous dress ... on: June 08, 2008 06:12:05 AM
and I mean fabulous, but my fellow fashionistas - here is my dilemma !
It is a blue dress and I have just dyed my hair purple, and it is a horrible clash ! I'm wondering if I can somehow use it to draw out a pattern ? Don't tell me to cut it up because she was such a lovely dress to me, I don't want to harm her !

Also, it's got veeery interesting elasticy smocking on the back and i'm not quite sure how to replicate this as i'm still not highly skilled !
