4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Penny (too many) for your thoughts?? on: July 05, 2012 12:26:40 PM
I am in love with your floor!  My mother saves pennies for "mad money", this floor would make her c~r~a~z~y and that makes me want to do this even more.  Well into adulthood, and I can't help but do things that still make her crazy, it keeps me young!

6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Peg Bag For The Clothesline on: June 27, 2012 03:51:26 PM
my husband is completely against line drying Sad  probably because right now we don't have anywhere to hang a clothes line.  I love your peg bag, and I think the fabric is fabulous, and since you like it, who cares what anyone else says?!
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Hand towles/ Added fabric on: June 21, 2012 08:49:40 AM
so adorable.  Been wanting to fancy up some towels like that myself, you have inspired me to stop putting it off.

I love it.  And love that you used it outside of "purpose" like a true artist!  Smiley

I'm not a coconut fan, but your pie and soap both look DELICIOUS!
10  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Fire Fighter Bear on: June 13, 2012 02:54:54 PM
I saw saragold's cowboy quilt here https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=358783.0 and was in love, and was looking for an excuse to make something like it.

My brother gave me another beautiful nephew January 2011, so I was thrilled to have a reason to make something like saragold's quilt.  Both my brother and his wife are volunteer firefighters, so I went with a firefighter bear for the character, and backed it with rescue vehicle fabric (sadly no photos of the back).

This was my first experience with applique and I learned a ton.  My brother loved it and tells me it's used everyday.
