1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / What fiddly little things you are... on: July 13, 2011 05:23:04 PM
So, on wandering around a local marketplace I found a new bead shop stocked full of gorgeous, shiny, sparkly things. I decided to pick up a few things and take them home to try making something out of.

My first attempts at making pretty, bead-y things. I think I have massive man hands or somethin' 'cos these beads gave me no end of trouble. The bracelet with the evil eyes was the first thing I made - before I discovered headpins(<-? Right name? Whatever they are, they're evil!), this was made for a friend of mine..  The necklace was made to use up the last of the tiny pearl-like beads I had from a sewing project a while back... And the pink & black bracelet was something I made for myself to match my friend X).

All in all, a lot of trial and error involved, but I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself X).
2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Harley Quinn <3 on: November 04, 2009 12:44:48 PM
The Hallowe'en birthday outfit for this year was Harley Quinn.
How cool is it to have hallowe'en on my birthday? I get to dress up lots and go to many parties, get presents at all of them, and get to be the special one for the night.. xD

Was the first time I've ever attempted to make my own hallowe'en outfit, and I just threw things together until it worked.

No in-progress pics, 'cos they all would've been photos of me crying and/or throwing hissy fits  Wink. I had a hell of a time getting it to work...

Hat, suit, collar made by me. Gun thing was painted. <3
3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Feelin' Pretty? Little Princess Tutu on: January 25, 2009 12:49:59 PM
My darling little sister* is turning 7 this week and I finally decided to get off my backside and do something for her.
She's currently taking ballet classes and last time I saw her she was moaning about not having a tutu, and, as they're relatively simple to make I figured that's what I could do for her birthday =]. The hardest part of this was getting a rough idea of size... She's tiny  Shocked

Helpfully modelled by Rudolph Greenpaw:

The pink is much brighter IRL. It's burningmy eyes =/

*My 8 year old brother's rather determined admirer/my mother's friend's daughter? She's adopted me as an older sister as she has no siblings of her own Smiley

Oh &&  Shocked @ First topic/time in YEARS that anything  I've crafted has ever been a)for anyone else b)shown to anyone else
