1  Re: 1950s Inspired Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by crafty-in-tally on: September 18, 2011 03:02:01 PM
May I ask where she got that 50s appliance and cupcake material?? I need to make a bag for someone and she asked for 50s diner and this looks gorgeous.

Well I am very excited to announce that I got my package from crassy_mcnasty!  Well I actually got it on Thursday, but have been super busy and unable to sit down and get everything done that I wanted to...

Okay without further ado...I love, love what I got and in fact I am wearing two of the pieces currently!

First I got this amazing skirt that is black in background with martini cocktails all over it.  I simply love the yellow rickrack at the bottom of the skirt.  I got so many compliments on it already!  Thank you so much and it fits perfectly too!

and a close up of the material and edging!

Next she included a awesome apron with 50's appliances and cupcakes.  Just my style!!  I love aprons too!

Hair Ornaments:  A (Rosie) scarf, a super cute leopard ribbon with a small red rose (I got lots of compliments on it, yesterday), A small red heart on a bobby pin with a red gingham little bow, a black and white fabric flower with cherries on it...

...and finally the one I am wearing tonight is also great because it has a green button on it and I love green!

the cake topper is the three tiered green and blue beaded necklace with matching blue earrings.  Fabulous!!!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!  I think that everything I received it so wonderful!! I love it ALL!

2  Re: Hungry Monster GALLERY! Send out by Sept. 8, 2011 in The Swap Gallery by crafty-in-tally on: September 12, 2011 02:58:14 PM
I received my package today. woohoo.

Here's the whole group. At first I thought she only had made a monster purse, but the monster pillow was nicely tucked inside. Wooden animal blocks (which came just in time. I used them to award my son for doing his homework, he had three pages and I gave him a block after each page). He's running back and forth from his room to the computer showing me each different animal. Too cool. They came in a little animal print bag.

The monster pillow

The animal blocks

And the cutest bag ever, it's got a front pocket as well. I'm going to put the book I am reading inside and take it to school. I'm helping at my son's book fair and I need something to do in the down time.

Love all the fabrics. Thanks leighi123

The blocks were a BIG HIT!!!

Received my package from pjr107 today. I don't know who was more excited my son or me.

Here's the whole lot. The monster, a christmas shopping bag, little plastic animals and some animals that grow when placed in water. Not in this picture since my niece wanted to see the lion grow.

The little animals that were in the pocket on the back.

Here's the pocket.

Here's my little boy with the monster.

Here are the safari grow animals already in water.

4  Re: One Tiny Stuffie Swap--Round 5 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by crafty-in-tally on: July 26, 2011 05:32:22 PM
My partner never sent her stuffie to me, I was a bit disappointed. Then I received an message from Scarlet_Angel and she told me that she was going to be my "angel" for this swap. This is what she sent my son. He loves zoo animals and he has autism. She used the puzzle pieces fabric (which is the symbol for autism awareness) for his ears. That was so thoughtful of her. Enjoy.

My little boy with his new elephant. His other obssesion is legos (his holding a little helicopter)

She made sure he had something to eat on his overseas trip.  Grin

5  "Did you ever stop to think, and forget to start again?" in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by crafty-in-tally on: July 18, 2011 05:58:42 PM
When I saw the trailers for the new Winnie the Pooh movie I just had to make him. I bought the pattern from Siempre Josefina. She has great patterns. I've added him to my stash of stuffies.

He's made with red heart super saver yarn and polyester fiberfill and 12mm safety eyes.

6  Pocoyo in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by crafty-in-tally on: July 09, 2011 12:18:15 PM
My son saw this show for the first time a couple of days ago and said, "mommy make it", so I did. It's the cutest little guy next to my little guy of course. It's so cool that he knows what mommy does and wants me to make him stuff. He just turned 6 and has autism.

C&C welcomed.

7  "Who lives in a pineapple under the sea??" in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by crafty-in-tally on: July 04, 2011 05:22:46 PM
I've been making all kinds of crochet toys for my son and nephew. I've posted a few here. I was given a challenge to make Spongebob. I used a 2" piece of foam for the body/head and dowels for his legs so that he could stand. Will probably make the legs of the shorts a bit longer next time and maybe his arms too. C&C appreciated

Pieces before sewing them together.

The face panel. On the second and third spongebob I made him some cheeks.

His legs and shoe. The the legs I used a 3/4" dowel and wrapped and glued the yarn as I went up. For the shoe I used what I had in a box of wooden pieces and crocheted around it.

First one I made on the left. I gave the second and third one more of a "wrist and hand" shape. They started growing taller as I went. I guess the sponge was absorbing some water Smiley

Close up of the new sleeve design. I think this one looks a bit better than the first one.

8  Re: Monster Ninni Swap Gallery (MAIL BY 6/13/11) in The Swap Gallery by crafty-in-tally on: July 01, 2011 12:26:53 PM
Finally back home, this was waiting at my desk from Jexxican. My very first hoopla. My son fell in love with the ninni. He loved the removable pants (he's the one that figured it out).

I have it on my wall already.

Thanks Jexxican.

Here's the ninni I sent to margiej, she asked me to post it for her. Hope she likes it.

She's got a little skirt on.

Close up of her face, hope not too scary.

I also made her a little pillow.

finished my ninni for margiej today, it's going on it's trip tomorrow. Received hers a few days ago. She used a granola box for the packaging and included a bar. My son ate it before I was able to take a picture. Here are some pics.

It now lives amongst all my son's stuffies. Thanks margiej
