1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Wire and beads on: October 13, 2008 11:05:03 AM

I just made this for a competition at a local bead shop, the theme is party, do you think it fits it ok?
This damn thing took me half a day/a day to make, but I ended up finally finishing season 1 of Battlestar Galactica, which has taken me so long!

I made this using memory wire and a bunch of frosted glass beads.

and with pink beads

Thanks for looking Smiley
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Head Pin Pendants on: October 13, 2008 10:25:01 AM
I was messing around with beads and headpins, and came up with these, I really like how they look, I was thinking they could be used as pendants or, failing that broaches.

This is my favourite one, I like the colours

I like how this looks like a kind of simplified poppy

Hope you like them Smiley
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Necklaces and Bracelets - Lots of pictures on: July 12, 2008 06:55:37 AM
So what with being off school I made a load of stuff, it's taken me a while to get it posted, hense a dump.

I really liked the metal button, and I kept thinking it would be really good to use in something, well this is what I came up with.

The green circle came from a hideous 70s style lampshade, I have loads of them to do stuff with. I was hoping to get a bright summery feel with this necklace.

This one I made for my friend's birthday.
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Crazy CD Pendants on: June 17, 2008 07:30:55 AM

I forgot how fun it was to melt CDs, Anyway, I cut the bits up into weird shapes, stuffed them in the oven for a few minutes then glued together with a hot glue gun.
The silver is ordinary melted CDs (AOL etc.), Purple and Blue were on the front of CDs. The gold sort of foil effect comes from melting a memorex (I think) CD with the green side up so the shiny side up and I turned it over and got the cool gold effect.

I couldn't get the colours to comeout right in this picture.

What do you think? Yay or Nay?
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Domino Pendants on: June 17, 2008 07:22:31 AM
I got addicted to making these Domino pendants, I still have 10 or so left, I'm trying to think of cool stuff to put on them so I don't waste them. I seem to have lost one of the dominoes when I was taking pics, but there was also a Kill Bill one, it had a small movie poser with the sword down the middle, and 'kill' and 'Bill' cut out of a spare Harry Potter book and stuck on top and bottom.

Drilling the holes was so fun  Cheesy

From left to right, top to bottom:
Man walks on the moon newspaper, Gwen Stefani, Poppies from the cover of Incesticide by Nirvana, Alanis Morrisette, Random pic, Dalek, Clash: London Calling, Random pic, Wine bottle label, Patti Smith, Red Hot Chilli Peppers

Alanis Morrisette, London Tube Map, Patti Smith, Some girl from a magazine, Sex Pistols (I couldn't resist Tongue)

The Mario mushroom I made for a girl who works in a coffee shop I got to and is always really nice about the stuff I make, I got so excited when I fould I had yellow square beads!

Anyway sorry for rambling, I hope you like them.
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Spirograph Necklace on: April 12, 2008 12:39:41 PM
So I was going through a cupboard full of old games and I found spirograph. The spirograph disks are so cool, and I knew I had to do something with them, this is what I came up with:

I also tried to make this pendant thing, but I got super glue on the central disk and couldn't get it off so tried covering it up with a circle cut from magazine, and as you can see that didn't work so well, any ideas on salvaging?

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Patti Smith T-shirt on: April 11, 2008 10:04:43 AM

I had an old white T-shirt which I altered the neck line on, then I sewed strips of material from an old black T-shirt on, in sort of un-even stripes. I made a stencil of Patti Smith on photoshop and painted it on with fabric paint to the side.

This is what the stencil looked like (but bigger):

What do you think?
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Dalek and html earings on: April 11, 2008 09:54:02 AM

I made this out of a Dalek phone charm which I was given for Christmas but didn't work with my phone. It was more that I decided I really wanted TARDIS earings but I didn't have any mini Tardises and I did happen to have a mini Dalek.

Keyboard broke, so I thought I'd try to make something cool with it Smiley
9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Three Strand Necklace with Agate on: April 11, 2008 09:16:50 AM

I found the big red agate bead and wanted to do something with it, this is what I came up with. I love the little seed beads, but they're a pain to work with I kept dropping the wire and loosing half of what I had done! It doesn't quite hang how it looks in the picture, the agate drags the rest of the strand down, but it's not to bad, alright for a first attempt! Smiley
