1  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Crazy Animal Costumes! on: July 08, 2009 04:45:05 PM
My brain has melted and i need your genius craftster help PLEASE!

Going to a festival in a couple of weeks and there is a fancy dress parade on the sunday and the theme is ANIMAL MAGIC. I do NOT want to go for the boring old cat/rabbit etc look. And preferably would like something funny but easy to make!

any ideas would be so gratefully appreciated!

2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / UK only swap! on: July 05, 2009 11:13:54 AM
So, as in my other post i'm eager to get crafting
but also at the same time rather eager not to splash all my little cash on postage!!

This swap would be very much like a previous U.K only swap. Where each swapper would pick 3 themes and then 10 things they would like to be crafted. They would then recieve 3 points worth of items relating to the themes and what they wanted to be crafted.

I am not organisation minded (can you tell  Cheesy) but if worse came to worse i could organise (maybe getting a bit ahead of myself need some of you fellow UKers to be interested!)

So whaddaya think?
3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Anglophile/Americaphile (?!) Swap! on: July 05, 2009 11:05:17 AM
Hello guys and girls!

Well I am desperate to swap again, and having spent a year in the U.S i am in love,  but hey home is home isn't it? so the bonny U.K still has a little place in my heart. So i was thinking maybe we could have a swap based on England and the USA with a 4 point craft requirement. With at least one thing themed UK and one thing themed USA.

what do you think?

p.s. excuse my americaphile making up a wordness. lord knows i can't remember what the correct word is!

4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Fascinator/Hair decoration swap on: December 20, 2007 06:08:37 AM
i would love to do a swap along these lines but don't think I'd be able to organise unfortunately.

As fascinators can be pretty simple to make i think it would be a really rewarding swap!

Come on girls! (and boys of course!)

6  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / the kinda outfit thats funny but not just plain odd! on: May 18, 2006 12:18:12 PM
Heyy! =]
i was wondering if you guys cld help me out!
i am going to my friends fancy dress  and the theme is fictional characters!
see i really want to go as something odd cos well i am a bit of a nutter but hey aren't we all!! But i also don't want to look like a complete lunatic when surrounded by the safe options of fairy princess and nurse that i know all of my friends will go as!

i was thiknking of going as a crayon, or a chair of somesort i got inspireed by the AMAZING pankcake outfit on here! but then i thought maybe i should go as something a bit safer?!
i have long blonde hair so i was wondering if you could think of anything i could be to my advantage?!
Thanks girlies ( and guys!)
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Pretty darn cool candlestick rotary phone!! on: May 07, 2006 01:58:12 PM
I am so happy with this! after finding this gem for 1 ! (  Shocked Shocked) i was ecstatic and had a quick search on hear for ideas and low and behold there was the dotty red rotary phone! so i got to work!

Before: it was a horrid colour the picture does it justice it really wasn't as nice as that looks! and it had smoke stains all over it  Lips sealed

So me and dad started to take apart the phone so that we could  spray all the seperate pieces its pretty simple as long as you remember where everything goes! and yr good with a screwdriver  and wires!

then we got some really cheap spray for 2.99 in postbox red!
after a couple of coats and a lot of tedious time spent putting it back together we got this!!!  :

 Grin Grin Grin

=D what do you guys think? nothing to ambitious but i love it =] and hopefully my freind will as its her bday present!!

8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / This is kinda sad. but i want it to be a happy gift on: May 02, 2006 12:42:38 PM
Bascially a friend of mine has cancer she is only young. i mean  like my age. and there is nothing left they can do to help anymore. which is so incredibly sad.  Sad
i just want to make a gift for her of some sort like a box of really fun happy stuff. But i also want to make something for her sister cos i just can't imagine how she must be feeling and i am pretty close to them both and i am very worried about her.  and i really want to show her how much we all care about them both.

I was just wondering if you had any good ideas that i could do quickly cos i want to get it to her as soon as possible you know?

i just want it to be something she can look at and smile about.

i have already thought of putting this poem in that we shared and like amix cd and pictures but its so hard cos i just don't want to make things harder for her having to look at all this stuff you know.. =[
9  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / My dad. + art project. + fruit. Help a little maybe. on: October 29, 2005 04:54:05 AM
Ok so i did these a couple years back i think now or at least a year ago. and i thought i may as well see what you guys think. tho i am slightly nervous cos your all so amazing  Grin. i have an art project to do soon what sounds more intersting : like an aqaurium picture ( so form of sea life) or i was thinking of doing another of my dad ( like the ones below) but just a big screaming one * a better scream tho cos i think he looks a bit odd in that picture! or something like that. cos i really enjoyed doing them all tho i am not as pleased with them now as i was then.. so i thgouht i could improve on that! thanks! xxxxx

and a close up :

and the ones of my dad: i really don't like the bottom one at all anymore.

edit: i was thinking mayb something like this for aqaurium one as i liked the photo
