Thanks MareMare! I'm going to cut back how much I do next time...which at this rate will be July before this home needs any more lip balm!  Cheesy

could we just reuse the container from our old lipbalm? this would be fun to try out.

Absolutely! Recycling a tube for your personal use is a great idea! You may need a few of these though...because I was surprised at how much one batch made.  Smiley

How wonderful!  I have little containers to make lip gloss with DD, but she would love this as well. She has a slight obsession with lip balm and begs me to buy her some every time we walk into a store.
That's fantastic that you got a wonderful result after only one try!  I would probably make a big mess of it.  But it would be a fun learning process, right?  Wink

Very fun! A great project for a mom who's DD is lip balm obsessed...I can relate!  Cheesy

How messy is this as a project?

I admit that I made quite a mess of the workspace at first because I sprayed hot waxy oil all over before I got the hang of the syringe.  Embarrassed It won't be that messy next time!
"Goo gone" Cleaned everything right up!  Cheesy

Wow! Look at you, does this mean you are going to create your own make up line? How  awesome would that be!

Great Job and I bet they smell/taste great Smiley

LOL~ I wouldn't hold my breath on that one, but I'll send you a sample! DM me your flavor preference. I can test on friends right?  Cheesy

I've wanted to try this since I started actually reading the labels on everything.  Thanks for the inspiration  Grin

Go for it! It was so much fun and I have peace of mind now for it! One of the ingredients that made me go 'hmmm' was saccharin on my girl's commercially purchased tube! We prefer either sugar or all natural sweeteners here!

lol score for being super creative plus getting something for free! Yeah pipettes are almost a necessity for these..I used to use a 1 cup plastic measuring cup I had with a pour spout, but the pipette is a little more control. And it looks like you got the trick of overfilling them so they wouldn't have a divot in them when they cooled!

I'm a fast learner!  Cheesy I filled a couple to the top & by the 3rd, the first was getting a dimple.
