12  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Need Cookie Recipes with Nutrition Info on: July 08, 2008 01:28:14 PM
It's not to difficult to find the nutritional value of your own recipes. We have to do it all the time for my dad. Just find what the nutritional facts are for each ingredient, add them all up and then divide by the number of cookies or slices or whatever. It's easier if you need the facts of just one thing like carbs. lol not as much math

This had to be the biggest project I've ever done! It all started a year ago when I decided that my boyfriend, who loves the ninja turtles, needed a blanket. So I set out making a pattern. I had a friend of mine crochet a blanket for because I don't know how to crochet. I think its a single stitch or something like that. I'll have a pic don't worry. Anyway, this particular stitch gives you a grid pattern, it's easier to see if you stretch it a little bit. But it was perfect for cross stitching. I hadn't cross-stitched in years, since I was a little girl. But I wanted to do it. After the first month I realized I was in over my head. Between school, work, and plain ol' procrastination, the whole cross-stitching portion took a year and about 3 months. I was excited to see this challenge as I was finishing the blanket. I thought that this would work perfect!! I am amazed at how well it turned out even if I know where ALL of my mistakes are lol. The back portion turned out messier than I wanted but too late to fix that now. To keep it as neat as i could I wove the colored yarn through the crochet stitches. You can see it better in some of the pics. Thanks so much for looking!

Here's the blanket as a whole.

Here's the back of the blanket.

back - you can see a little better how I wove the color through.
