hey finally posting in here!

I was delayed in sending smashu's package but it will be shipped out tomorrow!

Here's a teaser pic

And some shots of the awesome stuff she sent me!

vintage brooch, vintage fabric Nintendo DS case (I needed one of these!), a little feathered fascinator that is so cute, and a retro styled card of vintage beach babes that says "born to be wild"

action shot with the fascinator!

I wish I had her millinery skills!

this was an awesome swap :]

I love everything and have already gotten tons of compliments on the headband and hair clip
Thank you!

4  Frida Kahlo in Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects by hannahkarina on: January 04, 2009 01:04:38 PM
This was made as a Christmas gift for my sister in 2007.

Based on various works by Frida Kahlo. Made of clay, wood, lace, beading, ribbon, artificial birds and flowers, and ceramic tile as the base. Painted with acrylic.

I'm not sure if this belongs in this category or "More Art, Less Craft", but since it is a sculpture mainly made of clay I've put it here.

After a little postal mishap, I finally received my amazing package from chucklikesart today!

Little knit clutch I'm going to put my make-up in; pearl necklace; Audrey first-aid compact; dark chocolate Altoids; the most awesome pattern, I can't wait to make the main dress!; flake bar; black pouch full of tassel earplugs!; and the amazing Audrey mask!

"H" necklace - H for Holly or Hannah :]

The first-aid compact

It had cold pills, safety pins, bobby pins, a hair elastic, bandages, emery boards and a match - all in that little case! This is going in my purse right away.

Action shot of the mask!

I just received from the awesome amyracinrose and I am SO HAPPY with how this swap turned out. She made the most wonderful things and I can't wait to put them to good use. :]

First, here's what everything looked like all wrapped up.

So pretty and pink!

First I opened up this gorgeous apron. I love aprons, and I love baking, so this is going to be worn around many a pie!

Next was this super pretty tea towel that I don't even think I'll be able to use since it's so lovely! I might just have to hang it up.

I love the dot pattern, it's very mod but then the flowers are super girly and intricate.

Finally I opened this! It's an embroidered Russian nesting doll in a frame!

That made me squeal so much. So much detail and she's so cute. I love it. I can't wait to put this on my dresser!

She also sent me this awesome card with a vintage button that I will probably put on a cute little purse. I love it!

Amyracinrose, you are so inspiring! You make me want to take up embroidery even more.

Thanks so much for everything, I love it! :]

My puppy is a Westie/Cairn terrier. (Sheds a lot though :p)

He's pretty small, I can pick him up with one arm, and he's so sweet and well-behaved and playful. :]

That's him being mischievous haha.

I received from poerava today! She claimed me for vintage sewing patterns and dessert recipes, and she also sent some awesome magazines too. I love everything!

Everything all together. I can't wait to try out the recipes mm, they sound so good!

The sewing patterns all rock but this one in particular is my favourite. I love the silhouette of this dress and can't wait to go hunting for fabric so I can attempt to make it!

Thanks again poerava! I love it all :]

Here are the awesome things I got from a recent personal swap with nofury. She was my first personal swap partner and was so awesome, I love everything she made!

Paris themed stickers; a fun printed project bag and yarn and crochet needles to get me started on crocheting; an antique book (from 1894!) about Marie Antoinette, my favourite historical figure; a yellow Parisienne coffee/tea cozy (I needed one of these!); a really gorgeous floral clutch with a vintage button, and a matching Kleenex holder.

I love everything and I can't wait for nofury to get the things I sent to her!

10  Silver charm and pink bead necklace . . . in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by hannahkarina on: May 10, 2008 04:41:54 PM
Here is a necklace I made recently.

I used silver chain, some silver charms, rose quartz beads, other beads, and a white stone.

Action shot - I really love how it is lying flat.

I'm not sure what to do with it since I don't wear silver jewelry, but I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Thanks for looking. :]
