We received from Rubbycopperhead!!!!! Where do I start? Let's see... first we get our envelope that has been decorated with Starwars themed stickers! Then we open the envelope to find a cute little battleship that Rubycopperhead tucked all the little starwars guys in ( very cool idea!). And here are the pictures. She made us a wookie with an awesome little spear, A fuzzy Chewy (he's Sean's favorite!) a yoda and R2D2. I can't even imagine just how much time and tiny stitches went into making the Yoda and R2D2! They are the coolest finger puppets ever!!! She also included a personal note to Sean written on the inside of the battleship in a circular pattern ( again, very cool idea) and then a personalized note to me along with the teeny tiny little Yoda. I am going to add a jump ring to the tiny Yoda and string it on some leather cord for Sean to wear as a necklace! Did you notice the shirt that Sean is wearing in the Pics? My son is a die-hard Starwars lover and you made his day!!! Thanks so much

Oh yeah I almost forgot.... This was the first piece of mail that Sean has ever received from another country. So I let him bring his new prized possesions into school and show them off to his classmates. The teacher also enjoyed talking with the students about the German stamps on the envelope and she showed the students just where Germany was located on the globe. How cool was that for a 7 year old.

Now that Superhooker and Patty-o-furniture have received I thought I would post these pics  that I had
taken. I hope that's ok.

I had so much fun making some girly things for Patty-O-furniture. With 3 boys I don't get to work with pinks very much LOL. Thanks for the nice comments everyone!!!

Look at what we got!!! My son Tyler just loves his Bean bag toss game but his bean bags have definitely seen better days LOL! He also loves to skateboard which is what makes this package a double WOW! Not only did CJKJ make the perfect size bean bags and a great little bag to store them in, she also used Tony Hawk fabric!!!! Tyler's favorite skater!! CJKJ also took the time to make sure that each bean bag had a pic of Tony Hawk on them. Thanks so much CJKJ he is a very happy boy! Now I just hope you will consider claiming us again in the future because the 7 year old is quite jealous LOL.

My action shots came out way too dark to post. I will take some more pics and edit this post at a later date.
Thanks again!!

We received our package from Sajona today!!!! And we Love it!!!
we received a hemp bracelet for my oldest, a Dino book for the middle guy and a superhero cape for the little guy. Sorry I have no action pics of Sean with his new book but he was napping when my other 2 tore into the package (Sean wasn't feeling well) but he likes his book very much. Once Tyler put on his new superhero cape
there was no taking it off LOL! He was a hot, sweaty mess after about an hour of playing but refused to take it off until bed time!!! Thank you so much Caroline!!! You have made our first swap package a great experience!

This is a hemp bracelet that was made for my oldest son Jimmy. This is really cool! were his exact words
This is the super fabulous Super cape that was made for the little guy Tyler.
And this is a pic of the Dino book for Sean.
Thanks again... Lori

16  Just keep swimming, just keep swimming!! Nemo top and hat for my son in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by brilor on: August 22, 2008 09:17:43 AM
I made this shirt and hat for my son for our upcoming trip to Disney. He just loves Nemo!!! He's 6 and my husband seems to think its a little babyish for him but my son loves it!! And I'm willing to keep him little as long as possible.... (kids grow up way to fast now a days)

This is the front of the shirt

This is the back of the shirt.. I used coordinating Nemo fabric to match the front.

Here is the hat.. I cut squares of each character from the fabric I used on the back of the shirt.

Thanks for looking... and all comments are greatly appreciated...

17  2new dresses with matching dolly dresses in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by brilor on: August 17, 2008 11:40:59 AM
OK, so I decided to make my niece some more dresses before the summer is over and use up some of my light weight fabric. And then I thought how cute would it be to make matching dolly dresses to go with them. Well in my brain I thought 1/4 the size, 1/4 the work right? WRONG!! It took me just as long to make the dolly dresses as it did to make the full size dresses. Anyhoo... not such great action pics but my sister said she did the best she could... My niece is the dark haired little one (Gabbie) and the blond is her little friend.

18  What a "HOOT" and back to school dresses in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by brilor on: August 13, 2008 06:21:03 PM
This is the first time I tried the Anna wrap dress pattern. I found it to be a very easy pattern. I also tried my hand at making a hat for the first time. I appliqued an Owl on the front of the dress and used the same fabrics from the hat. I am still very new to the whole applique thing but I am pleased with how it came out. The back to school dress is way! way! to busy.... I just loved the fabric in the store and thought it would be adorable for my niece's first day of school but I've definitely changed my mind now that its all together. (OH WELL) you can't win them all.LOL...This is only my second post to the site.... I love seeing all of the beautiful creations that you talented woman come up with!!! It is very inspiring!

(Anna wrap dress from Farbenmix and the hat pattern is 3652 It's so easy by Simplicity)
