1  Re: Crayon Batik in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by mamallama on: September 29, 2004 11:33:02 AM
I tried it!!!  I love this project, and I'm totally going to make my 8th graders try it.

I used glitter crayons for this one, just to see how it would work out.
Yeah, I ripped off the Mona Lisa design.  (But I WANTED it!!!)  Yours looks better.

2  Einstein in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by mamallama on: September 29, 2004 11:23:13 AM

Excuse the God stuff -- I work in a Catholic School and I've been asked to create an inspirational poster for the mailroom each month -- something for teachers to see.  I <3 the teachers I work with, so I really get into these posters.

I love Einstein.   Smiley

3  Art boxes in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by mamallama on: September 28, 2004 04:07:07 PM
I made these boxes based on artworks by artists I love:

Keith Haring box:

Andy Warhol:

The first box I made as an example to show my students of a project we just started.  The second was just to do something with a little wooden box i found.  The "Marilyn" is actually from some Warhol wrapping paper I found at a bookstore.
