22  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Starting a graphic design business...help! on: August 10, 2008 01:26:20 PM
Hi Girlies-

Here's the scoop:

I am starting a graphic design business where I design and print paper products for weddings (invites, etc). And I got a basic set up for a website. I normally use geocities because of page builder, but its so slow. Does anyone know another site where I can build/layer my page without html directly?

Also, I was wondering how I set up paypal to put on my site?

I just need general business advice as to start up!

I hear your pain! My boyfriend's uncle wanted a crocheted belt made out of hemp...for some buffalo days thing..anyway, he needed it 5 feet long, 2 inches thick...so..I love chocheting...It took me two hours and it hurt like a mother! I used the smallest hook I had (tiny!) and it hurt so bad, my fingers were raw and numb for the rest of the day...no joke! Maybe try warming the bags somehow, they are more softer to work with. I learned my lesson with hemp..good luck with plastic! haha

I'd have to refind it on here-but search for "Tetris shelves"

You take wood and nail together pieces to make squares and rectangles. You then can paint them or decoupage them using Modge Podge and photos or tissue paper. When you need a change, re -arrange them =)

Or...you can buy/make a hanging storage organizer like for the back of the door.
