Details of swap:

The idea of this swap is to alter one Altoid sized tin and fill it with goodies in a winter theme. If you are unable to find an actual Altoid tin, you may use a substitute, provided you keep the size to anything smaller than 4" x 4" (10 cm x 10 cm), and not thicker than 1" (3 cm). They don't have to be square or rectangular, I've seen some cool round tins. After the tin is decorated, you will fill the tin with tiny objects that also relate to the theme. The catch is that you can only send the decorated tin and whatever fits into it. Nothing else! The goodies do not have to be shipped inside the tin but should all have fit in it before you altered it!

Also:
You MUST post in this thread so we can communicate with you easily.  A simple "I'm in" will suffice.

2.  You MUST get a tracking number (US only), or it will be noted in your feedback.  If you are shipping internationally please keep your receipt and take note of the customs number.

3.  You MUST send on time and pm me and your partner with the DC number, OR communicate with me that you will be late. Do not make me have to ask you whether or not you have shipped. Poor communication will also be noted in your feedback.

4.  All PMs MUST have Winter tin swap in the subject line (I get a lot of PMs  and it gets confusing)

5.  Last but not least...NO FLAKING! Make sure you have the time to commit and do a good job for your partner.

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Hogwarts Letter on: December 14, 2018 10:55:23 AM

I made Mistress Jennie her own hand stitched Hogwarts letter for the Harry Potter Holiday Swap. I didnt snap a photo of the back but the felt is folded like an envelope and there is a button sewn on to represent the Hogwarts seal.

Im a muggle and had to send it through the mail but I included a friend to hold on to it and deliver once the box was opened
3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Cross Stitch Sled Ornaments on: December 12, 2018 08:14:13 AM
I am hooked on making these little ornaments. They stitch up relatively quickly and each set uses the same colors of floss throughout.

This first set I only stitched two out of the three patterns and sent both away as a swap gift

Then I stitched all three patterns for the other two sets

My partner in the Mini 12 Days of Christmas Swap has twins and I thought that these would be the perfect shirts to make for them!

I sent them in personalized mini Santa sacks along with store bought goodies for her older kids

5  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Discussion and Questions / Foul Mouthed Lady on: December 11, 2018 08:25:08 AM

I stitched this Urban Threads pattern up on a t-shirt for my partner in the Mini 12 of Christmas Swap. She has a potty mouth like me and I thought this was the perfect pattern!
6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Christmas Portraits on: December 11, 2018 08:21:45 AM

I stitched this pair up for my partner in the Mini 12 Days of Christmas Swap. They are digital stamps from Le Petite Market on Etsy that I used as a pattern. I stitched them on felt and added some sequins for some sparkle.

The pattern is from Prairie Schooler
8  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Dollar Store Ribbon Wreaths on: October 11, 2018 07:55:34 PM

I found some wreath forms and a ton of fun holiday ribbons at the dollar store and I decided to try making some wreaths. I watched some YouTube videos and was surprised at easy these were! I bought supplies to make some more holiday wreaths!
9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Mini Sugar Skull Embroidery on: September 25, 2018 03:23:57 PM

I stitched this little hoop up recently and am so happy with it! Its a 3 inch hoop and I used a digital stamp from Le Petite Market as a pattern.
10  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Haunted Neighbors on: September 25, 2018 03:17:33 PM

I found these chipboard kits at Michaels and had to grab a few. Im actually sad I didnt get more since once I started I had a lot of ideas for different houses and displays. I used Halloween papers, printables, and paint to decorate them.

This one I made potion bottles from beads, a chipboard chair, and skeleton cutout.

This one has a black gate Ive had in my stash and a skeleton dog protecting the place.
