2  Re: My Favorite Book Swap rd 2 in The Swap Gallery by lindyv321 on: July 12, 2018 07:08:15 PM
Wavelight has received so I wanted to share what I sent. The book I chose was Daughter of Smoke and Bone which has strong themes that involve angels, wishes, hamsas, and teeth. It sounds like a strange combo but it makes sense if you read the books! Here is what I made based on the book

And these were packaged in this box that I altered to kind of look like a book

Then not based on that book....

3  Wish Bracelet in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by lindyv321 on: July 09, 2018 05:02:51 PM

These are so simple but I love the thought behind it. You tie it on a make a wish and when it falls off your wish will come true.

I sent this to my partner in the My Favorite Book Swap since the book I sent her has wishes as a big plot point! I designed the card its on too Smiley

I stitched this up for gozer in the Mermay, Unicorn, and friends Swap. I used a digital stamp from La Petite Market for the pattern. And I just realized that I spelled majestic wrong... ugh ಠ_ಠ

I enjoyed a Darker Shade of Magic and am jealous of The Magicians trilogy! I want to read those

Edit..
I came home and my package from wave light was here! She crafted based on The Princess Bride, Harry Potter, and Jurassic Park
First up the Princess Bride pillow covers

Fun magnetic words

Then some Jurassic Park soap that smells yummy!

And my favorite items that are based on Harry Potter

Thank you!!!!

9  Haunted Mansion Cross Stitch in Needlework: Completed Projects by lindyv321 on: July 05, 2018 11:30:17 AM

I started this a few months ago but set it aside when I started the epic floral Mickey. I picked it back up and finally finished it. I had to dye the aida purple and I wish I had done it after I stitched it. Im not a fan of stitching on dark fabrics!

10  Calabacitas in Recipes and Cooking Tips by lindyv321 on: July 05, 2018 11:18:41 AM

Calabacitas is a Mexican veggie side dish. Its simple and delicious! Ive been eating this batch all week!

You will need
2-3 Zucchini or yellow squash (or both) cut up
1 Bag of frozen corn
1TBSP Garlic
1/2 Onion, chopped
1 Poblano Chili pepper, de seeded and chopped (I used a bag of frozen blended peppers I found at Trader Joes) you can use more or less depending on how spicy you want it
2TBSP Oil

Heal the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; stir the onion and garlic in the hot oil for about 5 minutes. Mix the zucchini in with the onion and garlic; cook together 5 minutes. Stir the corn kernels into the mixture; add the poblano pepper. Season with salt and pepper; stir. Cover the skillet with a lid and cook until the zucchini is tender, about 10 minutes.
