31  stuffed portabella caps!!! in Recipes and Cooking Tips by bunnyrabbit on: May 23, 2008 06:15:56 PM
mmmm... i love portabella mushrooms....
you can have this be vegetarian too, just by leaving out the ground beef

i don't really measure/time anything either, so bear with me!!
thaw 1 lb lean ground hamburger. set that browning on the stove.
drizzle a saucepan with a bit of olive oil... small chop about half a red onion, add it to the pan. while that's cooking, chop up 1/3 of a bell pepper, add that in. let it keep cookin'. chop up sm/med zucchinni, add it in. sprinkle with a bit of garlic, and whatever other seasoning you like. then chop up a roma tomato and add that in.

oooh... veggies!!

now, somewhere in there, find time to gut out the baby bella caps. when your veggies and meat are done, dump 'em all in the same pot and add the alfredo sauce. leave it on low so it stays warm.

then just use the rest of the leftover olive oil in your saucepan to fry up your bella caps!

layer it up!!!!

yum yum yum

32  stomp on my heart + sea of "hopeful" tranquility in Beads: Completed Projects by bunnyrabbit on: May 21, 2008 07:26:49 AM
so i got dumped. yesterday. and i'm still crushed. so i indulged in some retail therapy at ben franklin.

and of course, they're my favorite obsession, toggle bracelets.

stomp on my heart

sea of "hopeful" tranquility. i feel like i'm being tossed about, matey. (my pathetic attempt at humor).

thanks for looking.

33  a whole field of green... memory wire and ZEPPELIN!! in Beads: Completed Projects by bunnyrabbit on: April 29, 2008 06:26:30 PM
okay, so i'm on a roll again....

i found this zeppelin bracelet that i made awhile ago, and thought i would post it because zep rocks!

and another pic because you can see the cute little heart charms better!

it has page, plant, bonham, and jones around it in letter beads as well...

and i found these pearlish looking leaves while i was at the bead store getting stuff to finish a different project (which of yet is still a failure) and of course an entire new project was born!

gar.. i had two more, but they didn't really work out and i'm going to have to re-do my designs...
but i love the ones i have!!!
thanks for looking!!

34  my take on "spring fling" and a birdie necklace! in Beads: Completed Projects by bunnyrabbit on: April 23, 2008 02:06:53 PM
more stuff!!! i wish i had my mom's high-res camera.... her pictures turn out way better...

here's my "spring fling" bracelet.... seed beads, swarowski, and glass beads with a loop/bar closure..

... and a different view (i think this one shows the colors better)...

and BIRDIE necklace!! i actually reconned the charm from aome wal-mart earrings (i lost the other one...) the blue beads are supposed to be spaced irregularly, but i think i lost the effect...
here it is, modeled by my cookie jar:

up close!

and a very poor model shot of me wearing it!

i love my new jewelry *sigh*... i hope you guys like it too!!

36  one should never go to craft shows.... in Beads: Completed Projects by bunnyrabbit on: April 19, 2008 02:03:18 PM
.... then go to the craft store.

this is the result of my hard day's labor, and i'm not even finished yet!!

here's a cute little pearl bracelet. i actually picked out the triangle spacers first, much to the skepticism of my mother, but she ended up loving it when it was finished... i also tried to take pictures of the matching earrings, but they refused to be photographed. grrr!!

and the blue and green one... mom and i have matching ones! i made them both, of course.

thie purple one is actually only half finished, and i really liked a different bracelet i saw kind of like it in black somewhere on here.... but again, the camera is stinky and i can't seem to get proper resolution. i'm gonna luv it when i'm done though!!

and my MOM made this one! she said it took her forever and she's never making another one again. i'm so proud!

sorry so pic-big, but so it goes.... thanks for lookin'

38  someone famous - guess who!! in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by bunnyrabbit on: April 07, 2008 03:20:06 PM
i actually picked up a pencil and made a drawing today for the first time in about ten years. like a real one, not a doodle or a craft sketch....

after i it in pencil, i went over him with a fine sharpie... i don't know if my shading really turned out okay, but overall i love it!

guess who:

and here's the picture i used for reference:

come to think of it his hair needs a little work....

i'm just so impressed by the stuff that goes up here... i hope i can be considered worthy as well!!
p.s. "drawing on the right side of the brain" is a wonderful book - i did most of this drawing upside-down!

39  koi-colored jewelry!!! in Beads: Completed Projects by bunnyrabbit on: March 28, 2008 08:43:40 PM
yay, first project post!!!
so i love blue, and i love orange... they always remind me of brightly colored koi fish swimmin' around in their little pools. (and i couldn't resist hobby lobby, damn 50% off beads!)

here they are!! fairly simple, i know, but i love them....

and on me!!

the matching earrings

and a nice close-up of the beads!

thanks for looking!!!!!!!!!!!!
