21  Re: Small Mystery Swap Rd 2! in The Swap Gallery by Rainbow_Storms on: March 09, 2009 07:17:00 AM
So I got the most amazing package ever from elociNNicole!

She already sent me some amazing fabrics and soaps, and I got on my etsy to find she'd given me a very generous gift certificate/credit to an organic makeup shop I've been dying to try.  Shocked
Talk about amazing!

And then I received this incredible package over the weekend. I don't think I stopped squealing!

First, the cutest little needlefelted critters, and some soap her friend made and then she felted it (I've been dying to try this!)

Isn't that little owl just adorable?

Some super kawaii buttons, erasers, rings and stickers

The sweetest deer necklace... I love it!

A warmer-thing-y that I LOVE and my DH has tried to steal from me- but I'm not giving it up!

And the cutest eggplant "polaroid" plush hanging. I can't wait to get to my new house and get it hung up. I'm thinking maybe on a door knob.

I love everything, thank you sooo much, elociNNicole!

So little mystery boxes have been popping up around here, and let me tell you, the suspense is killing me! Mystery partner, you are awesome!

My first box came a couple days ago, and was great! She sent some adorable fabrics. I was drooling over them!

Aren't they great?

And then this morning, I went to mail a bill, and this little package was waiting in my mailbox!

Soaps! I love soaps, and I almost bought some yesterday, but I'm glad I didn't! They're adorable and smell great!

First some little minis and a chocolate cupcake!

And the best ever! A clog! It's vegan, too, which is awesome, because I've really been getting into organic/vegan stuff.

Thank you!!

I received from Michowl this week and got such a cute package!

First, a sweet little plushie and a keyring! The keyring is handy b/c I carry big deep purses, and am always wrestling w/ trying to find my keys.

Next, a cute little owl zipper pouch. Also handy in the bottomless pit purses!!!!

And finally, the cutest painting! I can't wait to get it hung up; I love it!

Look at those great little faces!

Thanks so much, michowl!!

I received from gerbilgal yesterday! She is a knitting fiend and sent the greatest package!

First we have the cutest little purse- check out the button! There are also little hedgehogs!

Then we have the most adorable plushies ever! A rat and a fox (the fox is soo cute, but he didn't photograph too well. I blame it on my messy room and crappy lighting)

And some adorable dish cloths! There is a squirrel on the first one, and a skunk on the second.

And of course, gratuitous cat picture. I didn't get one of my dog trying to eat the rat, but for some reason, she really wants to eat it! Silly animals!

Thanks so much for everything!

25  Spoon Pendants in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Rainbow_Storms on: November 20, 2008 10:17:36 AM
So I got a spoon ring at our local flea market and have absolutely been in love with it. My husband has had to hunt down several more for people who have seen mine and wanted their own. So he decided he would try to make his own from this bag of awesome old silverware that we scored at (again) a flea market. Well, he didn't have any of the tools you're supposed to have to make rings, but instead he made these lovely pendants. They're not super fancy, but I love how they just stand on their own, ya know?!

(Please excuse the numbers... I was doing something and forgot to remove them b/f posting.... Undecided)

(And here is my favourite. It has acorns on it  Grin)

Comments and critiques welcome!

Also, some really cute little food erasers. I love erasers!

29  Kawaii Phone Cozies in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Rainbow_Storms on: September 11, 2008 10:23:28 AM
I got a sweet new phone this past weekend... but it was a slider-type phone and I didn't really feel comfortable slinging it around in the bottom of my purse, so I made it a little cozy. Then my mom saw, and had to have one for her phone too. Mine is the pink one, hers is the blue one. I personally like smiley faces on my inanimate objects, but she begs to differ.

Milk carton and cuppycake

Mine closes by looping the string around the two buttons

Buttons are a little too complicated for my mother, so she's going to add some velcro to hers.  Tongue

Opinions and comments are always appreciated!

30  Hand Painted Octopus Shirt in Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects by Rainbow_Storms on: September 11, 2008 10:16:24 AM
This is a shirt I was going to use for the Harry Potter movie release in November. Seeing as it's now set for NEXT August (I hate so many things about this), I wanted to go ahead and do something different with the shirt. So I dug up a sketch I had done, and ended up re-sketching it onto the shirt (the original sketch was like, 5x7, so it had to be resized) and then painting over it with fabric paint. It's the first time I've ever done this, so I'm kind of pleased with myself.

So you can see the arm going into my armpit. Heehee.  Tongue
