1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / John Cena ami on: August 11, 2009 04:15:20 AM
well it has been a while since i posted something tho i have been busy
made a starafghan and fingerless gloves
and some other things
anyway i finally got my copy of creepy cute crochet
and a friends birthday came up
and since we are very very broke due to unforseen circumstances
i decided i make him something special for his birthday
he is a very special person after all Smiley
so he is a huge wrestling fan and esp john cena
so i made him a john cena ami with chain and belt Smiley
sorry the photos are a bit blurry Smiley

he isnt perfect since it was my very first ami ever but he has bendable arms so he could move them for the different gestures that john cena is known for Smiley
he loved it and that made me happy Smiley
well would like to know what you guys think about it:)
hubby made the belt buckle out of polymer clay the belt it self is felt with two buttons on the back Smiley
figuring out the hair was tough and i couldnt figure out how to make a baseball cap Sad

2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / How to crochet a scrabble board?????? Ideas anyone???? on: July 30, 2008 04:08:15 AM

i live in australia and my mum lives back in germany

since we both don't have much of a live these days ( my hubby being really sick and my dad is even sicker and needs 24 hour care) we spent our time playing scrabble online in yahoo, cruise thru different forums togehter or even do window shopping in ebay.
it's quite fun really Wink

anyway today at work i had this idea
hubby just started playing with polymer clay
so how about for christmas we make her a scrabble set
the tiles out of polymer and the board crochet

sounded like a great idea at the time now my problem is how the heck am i going to do it?? Embarrassed

i was thinking just basically two colours in a checkerboard way and use fabric paint for the double letter and word parts.
but how do i do a checkerboard in crochet ?? Huh

if anyone has an idea how to get started or a link i would be eternally grateful Kiss.

i am flying to germany on the 26th of december fro a cpl of weeks and i would like to have it as a present for her from me and my hubby ( who she adores Smiley)

iam going to crochet a neckpillow for my dad in the shape of a cat with wings as a cat angel for when he has to stay in hospital again filled with microbeads. Grin

like i said any input is more then appreciated

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / my first handmade mary janes on: March 30, 2008 12:48:46 AM
i finished my version of the mary jane slippers that have been posted on here and i adored
took me way longer becaus i must have been a true blond in a former life
seriously i had to rib them apart at least 4 times because i copied the instructions wrong
but well here they are and i love them esp with that yarn

and i found some puff paint and put some on the soles so i won't break my neck on the wodden floor

i sure will make some more of these they make great gifts  i reckon
and i am sure the the next pair will be better as you can see on the pics uhmmm the left one is done not as tight as the right one  *ooopppsssiii*

anyway due to a severe head cold i forgot who posted the pattern for these one but i sure appreciate because i absolutly love them
