hey totally love the bigger ones
i made one ami so far but the small one are a bit too tedious for me hahahah

so i got a question
do you just use thicker yarn and a bigger hook but keep the number of stitches Huh?

i have to start making stuff for a baby soon and i think a nice bigger ami would be brilliant Smiley

thanks and happy holidays Smiley

4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / John Cena ami on: August 11, 2009 04:15:20 AM
well it has been a while since i posted something tho i have been busy
made a starafghan and fingerless gloves
and some other things
anyway i finally got my copy of creepy cute crochet
and a friends birthday came up
and since we are very very broke due to unforseen circumstances
i decided i make him something special for his birthday
he is a very special person after all Smiley
so he is a huge wrestling fan and esp john cena
so i made him a john cena ami with chain and belt Smiley
sorry the photos are a bit blurry Smiley

he isnt perfect since it was my very first ami ever but he has bendable arms so he could move them for the different gestures that john cena is known for Smiley
he loved it and that made me happy Smiley
well would like to know what you guys think about it:)
hubby made the belt buckle out of polymer clay the belt it self is felt with two buttons on the back Smiley
figuring out the hair was tough and i couldnt figure out how to make a baseball cap Sad

does anyone know a really really simple to understand tut to make them
i kinda cant get my head around how to do these

although i really get to do much crafting at the moment ( very busy and stressful real life atm ) but for the future when i have more time or rather headspace to just sit and craft again

when i went thru your site and the tut to make wands with your son i noticed the painting in the back and thought uhmm that looks like tom baker

went thru your blog and yep indeed doctor who Smiley

i love to see that there are soooo many ppl out there who love the show and do all kinds of crafty things relating to it Smiley

huby and i love the show but noone else around me either knows it watches it nor likes it Sad which is weird since australia had the show as long as great britain does

10  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: Kids favors, heart-shaped crayons on: August 09, 2008 05:42:06 PM
ok after reading all 16 pages of this thread ( instead of doing what i should be doing namely housework) i decided i soooo have to do them

my friend is getting married next year and i know there are going to be some kiddies around
and in someway since iam "responsible" for her getting married to her man i think i should in some way contribute to the celebration

i dont have kids so i wouldnt even have thought of anything like that

i am actually thinking of doing that colouring book thing for her too

she is a bit ditzy sooooooo if i told her about this she would totally love it but wouldnt never get around to it Smiley

but then again so am i sooo i will have to pull myself together and just do it to make her day even better and easier in not having to worry about those hordes of kids too much

thanks for sharing
