2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Vintage Sheet to Wee dress on: March 22, 2008 07:56:30 PM
I'm sure that is the most comfortable dress in her wardrobe! My dd would never take it off! I just have to make one of these. Funny, it's too cold here for it, but my dd would wear it anyway! You did a wonderful job on it. I like the waist. Did you attach the elastic, or insert it?
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: My first ever crocheted item - A SLOUCHY HAT - Woohoo!! on: March 22, 2008 07:51:23 PM
When I crochet, I try to think of my grandma and just let my mind go with her. Sometimes I come up with things that amaze myself. She used to crochet, but never "taught" me how. In some way, I remembered things that she made and once I got started it just flowed. The key is to not belittle yourself in any way, and to accept whatever is made with your hands. Let the history of the craft guide you along. You have a talent. I love the slouchy hat. You look terrific in it, too! Don't give up, just keep on going. Crochet is a peaceful, soothing art. Hope to see more items soon!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: crazy skirt help on: March 22, 2008 07:39:49 PM
A small slit on the inside at what was the waistband; make a drawstring with some soft ribbon; go around your neck-halter style, then stitch to the back under each shoulderblade. No-sew. Any inexpensive half slip would work for a lining, I would think. Good luck. Lucky you, finding that on sale!
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re: themed party master list on: March 22, 2008 07:29:54 PM

6  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Blossomfeathers (wee experimental artsy quilt) - Pics! on: March 22, 2008 07:20:44 PM
A breath of fresh air! The threads appear to float off the fabric onto the squares and out on a breeze! What a wonderful idea.
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Homemade cat house on: March 22, 2008 07:15:41 PM
My kids love making houses for the cats out of boxes! The last one was from a soda suitcase (24 pack). Our large cat filled it! She stayed for quite awhile. Another use is for our wonderful small softie friends...a great playplace for little ones. Great idea stacking them!! I'll have to show this to the kids!
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Blue and Black Long Striped Dress P.S. I love the beach on: March 22, 2008 07:08:45 PM
How gorgeous! The blue looks so wonderful against the ocean and waves! It looks like you both had fun! What a great style! Great photos, too!
9  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: 400+ Mini Washers on: March 22, 2008 06:23:12 PM
My dd thinks you could sculpt an entire roundish town with them!
What about gluing them to a table top or tray and fill with grout like mosaics?
Or use them along the hem of a denim skirt or jacket.
A trivet?
10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: *Anger* on: March 22, 2008 06:09:42 PM
