2  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / some tumble sanding questions on: September 19, 2007 09:20:55 AM
Hi everyone!

I just got a kiddie tumbler and want to sand my beads using it.  I have read glassattic and found some interesting information but wanted some opinions.

What works better, wet or dry sanding?  I tried cutting up sandpaper and it curled up and stuck to itself and was a mess.  Do you use any other mediums besides sandpaper?

Thanks for the input.

Thanks Diane!

Any ideas as to which gauge of wire to use for the best results?

I was wondering if there were any tutorials out there to wrap beads with wire.  I have made some nice lentil beads and would like to make them into pendants.  Any suggestions?

Thanks

Thanks for the replies.

I was borrowing a friends camera as I don't have one yet so I can't tell you that information about it.

I will try to scan them and see what comes up.

Thanks

How do you take pictures of your clay items so that they are not blurry?  I have been trying to take pictures of some beads and when I upload them they become blurry.  They are not blurry on my screen though.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi, I am new to the world of polymer clay.  It is all so exciting and I see many of you on here make wonderful things!  Hopefully someday I will be able to too.

I am wondering where all of you in Canada buy your polymer clay?  Which brands do you use and what is an average price per bar of clay?

Thanks in advance! Smiley

I was also wondering how you can keep the ends from fraying?
