2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / help picking a die cutter on: September 26, 2009 06:59:18 AM
I have been thinking about getting a die cutting machine, but I am a bit confused because there seems to be so many.
I dont want one that works with a computer, so that cuts a few out.
I would like to know if there is a machine that will work with any of the dies from any company. i would like to be able to cut paper, card, felt/fabric.

I hope that makes sense.
thanks I look forward to your input. Grin

Is it possible to dye human hair using acid (vinegar) dyes. the hair is not on my head but on a weft. i want to make some clip in hair extension and wonder if i could use acid dyes. hair must be a protein fiber.
Any ideas. I know i could use normal hair dye,but i want some funky colours and well I have acid dyes on hand.

I want to to make a plushie for a long time, but was having trouble coming up with a good design. So i got my boyfriend to draw me some ideas and one really caught my eye. I scaled up the drawing and this is what I made.

I made him using the simple cookie cutter method out of a woven fleece fabric. his eyes and mouth are cut from felt and sewn on.

thanks for looking. Smiley
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / bead crochet bracelets on: November 25, 2008 05:14:02 AM
a couple of months ago i learnt how to do bead crochet ropes. here are a few of the bracelets i have made.
A simple one made with triangle beads

black and white swirl.

this last one was difficult to get the heart beads to fall around the edge of the bracelet.

they are so much fun to make and a great way to use up my bead stash  Wink
