441  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Soda Can Candle Holders. on: September 27, 2005 07:45:54 PM
Thanks everybody. Cheesy

All you need to make these is a push pin to poke the holes and scissors to poke a hole through the side of the can near the top and then start cutting the top of the can off. Then any part you want to cut out after that is pretty simple.
442  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Clay Rose and Rose Tealight Candle Holder. on: September 27, 2005 07:04:03 AM
I made this rose and rose tealight holder out of clay that I made from flour/salt/and water. I baked them and then painted them with acrylics. It's the first thing I've ever made out of "clay".  Grin

443  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Orange Plaid Pillow from BF's Button-up Shirt. on: September 27, 2005 06:41:33 AM
This is a pillow I made from one of my boyfriend's old button-up shirts. All I did was cut a rectangle out in the middle of the shirt along the plaid lines while the shirt was buttoned up, sewed up all the sides on my sewing machine wrong sides facing each other. (going along the lines of the plaid as a guide. oh how easy it is to sew plaid fabric Wink), unbuttoned the buttons and turned it right side out through that space, stuffed it and buttoned it back up! Right now it's just filled with cut up pieces of old shirts and sweatshirts but I just got some stuffing so soon it will be a lot more  cushion-y. So easy.  Cheesy

Hey! I have that same teddy bear thats sitting on the chair in your room! My nana gave it to me when I was like 3 and he's sitting on a chair in my room too. <333 that bear. Your apt. looks really awesome as well. I love all the furniture and that shag-rug. Growing up I had a room wall to wall in red shag-rug, it was so cool.  Cheesy
