31  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / man purse (aka. european carry-all) on: February 24, 2005 01:32:17 PM
so, my male roommate has been bugging me to make him a "man purse" as he and i call it, but my sister wants to call it "a european carry-all" (one of her favorite friends references...). anyway, i finally made one for him. luckily i didn't have to worry about it being too girly 'cause he can pretty much pull anything off (he's so fabulous!). so far he says he's gotten lots of compliments from his co-workers and i'm thinking about making one for myself (except maybe with some pink somewhere 'cause i'm like that!)

and i just had to use some crazy lining fabric!:

thanks for lookin'!
32  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / san francisco tank...why'd i make this in february?! on: February 24, 2005 01:23:57 PM
i don't know why i did it, but this was a shirt my sister got for me on a trip to san francisco a few years back. she didn't realize at the time that it was one of those "check out my 6 pack and my belly button ring" t's, so i haven't ever really worn it, but i figure, here in the texas summer heat, it might do me some good as a tank top. except, i've just finished it and it's all of 35 degrees outside today. oh well, it'll be there when i need it...

after (excuse my no tan-ness):
33  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Crazy Table Runner! on: February 16, 2005 03:25:52 AM
This was my mom's Christmas present. Sorry it took me so dang long to post it, but I was really happy with the way it turned out and I wanted to share it with you guys. She picked out the really cute Santa fabrics from Hobby Lobby and I went to work making a non-traditional, wavy table runner!

34  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Crazy quilted X-mas tree skirt! on: January 17, 2005 05:40:25 AM
So this is my first post...be kind and hopefully my picture link will work! Anyway, I made this tree skirt for my sister and her husband since this was the first year they had a "real" (and by real, i mean one that was over 2 ft. tall) tree. I used all of the fancy fabric scraps that i collected from the year I worked at Hancock. This was my first crazy quilt project and it was surprisingly easy, it just took a while since i used such small scraps! I hope y'all like it (my sister did. at least, i think she did. she cried when i gave it to her!)

Okay, I think i fixed the link. Thanks for the help! Sorry, I'm just not very good with all this technology stuff...
