31  Summer jammies for the little one. in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by cuppiecakes83 on: May 17, 2008 09:26:06 PM
This is my first post in the kids clothes. Yea me!
The sun decided to come out and play and make the temp go from the 50's to the 80's, so my daughter needed some summer jammies all of a sudden. I didn't want to go out and spend a bunch of money, so I dug into my Joann's and Walmart $2/yard fabric. I used less than a half yard on this nightie. Hooray for $1 jammies.
I based the pattern on this peasant top tutorial from Vegbee, just making it a bit longer:

It took less than an hour from cutting to finish. I have 3 more cut and ready to sew up tomorrow.

And now for the pics (Finally)!

I just got my package from WYOKrista yesterday! I was so excited to open it!
Here are the wonderful things I received:
3 appliqued onesies

Cloth booties

2 Burp cloths

Wooden letters for the nursery

Pink and Purple little monster with jingle bells in the feet that my 16 month old daughter has decided is hers and is now a kitty!

She also threw in 2 pairs of crocheted booties that were not made by her, but were for a girl. They are the perfect tiny size to wear right away. I plan to use one pair at the hospital any day now!!

Thanks WYOKrista for such an awesome package!!

I tried it out and it was great! Here is my version of the bag. It's meant to be a binky bag.

Here is my first attempt at a pyramid bag. I made it as a binky holder for my very first swap! My partner got her package, so now I can post it!

36  My first tote bag! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by cuppiecakes83 on: May 15, 2008 12:00:46 PM
This is my first attempt at any type of bag. I made a tote bag for my SIL to use for her Sunday School teaching things. It is lined with a blue flower print and has two inner pockets. One is a plain pocket, and the other is a three slotted pen pocket. I decided not to put any pockets on the outside, because they would cover the little angels on the fabric print. It also has boxed corners on the bottom. I am pretty proud of my first try.

Here is the bag:

Here is the angel print on the outside:

Here are the two inner pockets:

Thanks for looking!

37  Macro Challenge: Standing out in the crowd in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by cuppiecakes83 on: April 28, 2008 06:35:33 PM
This is my first post ever that is not a reply to someone else's work!!

Here is my entry for the macro photo challenge. The only thing I did in photoshop was add the border. I call it "Standing Out In The Crowd". There was one solitary dandelion in a huge field of tulips.
