Love love love the dress. Love that it was worn at a Ska show. Love the hookah in the background. All around, you're pretty awesome.

Wow, thanks for the kudos everyone! Glad you guys like it!

As for the makeup, I use professional theater makeup (I'm a hairstylist/makeup artist by trade) by Ben Nye. It's a smidgen more expensive, but totally worth it, it's a nice creme/grease mix and you can really do almost anything with their stuff. Also, when I put the white on, I mixed a little black with it to make it a little grayish. Besides being more movie-accurate, it makes the color more opaque and blends and covers better.

If you do get Ben Nye makeup, make sure you invest in some powder (to set the makeup) and cold cream (to remove it). It's meant to stay in place under hot theater lights and not melt off, so it takes some scrubbing!

I am a stickler for accuracy, so I found Sally pictures and painstakingly painted fabric, sewed, weaved yarn into a crocheted hat, and tried to make everything as close to the actual Sally as possible. (more pics to come once people send them to me!)

My costume

my job actually paid off...makeup by me. Lashes glowed in the dark

How great! I need an apron for work, I should make one so I don't get haircolor on myself. What do you do that you need one?
7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Steampunk goggles.. from your favorite rare poster Zombie Teeth! on: September 14, 2008 11:42:15 PM
Love it! If I were you, I would see about getting some sunglass material and try to swap the lenses. They're awesome like that, but they'd be even more awesome as sunglasses.

I hope your grandma wears that to old lady functions, like knights of columbus tricky trays and bingo at the local church. That would be awesome.
