1  Nightmare Before Christmas Sally: Made everything, including wig! in Halloween Costumes by sockrockincara on: November 04, 2008 09:08:50 PM
I am a stickler for accuracy, so I found Sally pictures and painstakingly painted fabric, sewed, weaved yarn into a crocheted hat, and tried to make everything as close to the actual Sally as possible. (more pics to come once people send them to me!)

2  Treasure chest frame candleholder beachy centerpiece in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by sockrockincara on: September 06, 2008 08:51:50 PM
I made this a while ago for a friend's beach-themed bridal shower. I bought out Michael's supply of plain wooden treasure chests (really...women were coming up to me and asking where I got them and had to break the news that I bought them all), painted them white and "antiqued" them, then painted the inside with rosebud vines. I made a picture frame out of a roll of magnetic...um, paper, I guess you could call it? One side is sticky and the other is a magnet. I put some sand in the chest, added a candle for some moodlighting, shells in the sand, and a picture of the bride with each of her bridesmaids went on each table (there's just a stick figure of the bride in this one). It looks much nicer in person, but this is the only picture I have at the moment. They were a huge hit, both the bride and groom's family were fighting over who got to take one home at the table. Enjoy!
