how long does it take to make one of these? u make these squares and connect them?

It doesn't take long to make one of these.. this one I finished in two days.. Yeah.. its 16 squares sewn together.
I have made one with only 12 squares as well.  Its fairly easy to put together.. the only part I don't enjoy is weaving in all the ends!

Did you put any kind of liner inside?  I'm just wondering if the purse stretches at all without one.
.

I haven't lined this one.  It stretches.. but not too much.  I like the stretchiness of this bag because I'm using it as an everyday tote bag for groceries etc.  The one I'm working on now I plan on felting (fingers crossed).. I will be putting a liner in that one.

This looks awesome!

And okay, I'm new to crochet (i taught myself today in about an hour) and I've been wondering: When stuffing with rice or poly pellets do they need to be encapsulated in some tighter fabric first so that they don't fall through the crochet?  I don't know if this is a dumb question or not, but it just seems to me like rice would get everywhere if there wasn't some special way to do it.  Unless of course crochet is tight enough to keep it all in there.

Thank you!

I think you answered your own question there. Smiley
I tend to crochet really tightly especially when I'm doing amigurumi.. so I just poured the rice in the bottom bit of the cupcake.
But I guess if your crochet wasn't tight enough to hold in the rice or pellets you could make a little fabric pouch or something and put the rice/pellets in there.

That wasn't a dumb question at all! Smiley

Cute and easy cupcake.  I made it because I needed a pin cushion.
I added rice to the base to weigh it down.

I found the pattern for this scarf on Ravelry.

A couple Divine hats.. and another Queen Anne's Lace scarf.. (I've made about 10 so far!)
The purple hat is baby sized. Smiley

And finally an Easy Peasy Bag. (Pattern by Sharon Maher on Ravelry)

I don't have the links to the patterns at hand at the moment.. but can get them if anyone wants them.
