1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / TMNT Dress and an odd little vest :) on: April 26, 2009 12:12:43 PM
So...after a long, garage sale-less winter, it's finally spring. which means tons of sales. setting out bright and early-ish yesterday morning, i found some colorful teenage mutant ninja turtle sheets, maybe a little too colorful. Well...we'll see. So I made a dress, and a vest, not intending at all to put them together, but now that i'm done they're together. :/ not sure how that happened. ah well Smiley

you can see just the dress here:

I don't like the way the dress looks by itself. hence, the vest...

and i tried to close up on the fabric....but it didn't really work.

thanks for looking!
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Shirt Dress: Ever after meets...Goodwill :D on: February 21, 2009 09:52:23 AM
So last night I stayed up too late, watching this movie, Ever After. And the whole time i'm wondering about those huge, poofy sleeves the guy wears. Weird, but pretty. Then this morning, I finally got a chance to go to Goodwill for the first time in a loooong time. And I was uber-happy. Cheesy and then i found this shirt.

I remembered this:
and thought maybe i could make something like it...and somehow the movie just popped into my head.  lol but here's how it came out:

oh, and pardon the weird expressions. i've been half asleep all day. Smiley

any comments welcome!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Inside out tshirt... on: March 22, 2008 06:08:20 AM
I got this idea out of a book, but it didn't turn out quite the way I wanted it to. So...I turned it inside out, and found that I liked it.

I don't have a before pic, but you can imagine it well enough: old, huge tshirt.

and the front...

sorry about the bathroom in the background.

thanks for looking!
