1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Fun Spring colors set - glass beads on: April 23, 2008 12:06:49 AM
I finished this set today. The necklace is designed so I can attach a badge to it, but I photographed it how it can also be worn as a necklace. The larger beads are aqua tinted glass ovals with a vit of a twist to them. In between are clear seed beads with a peacock green lining and yellow quartz crystal beads. It was fun and fast to make!

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Does anyone know where to find bead stringing "chain" - not wire? on: March 22, 2008 11:00:31 PM
Hi I'm new here. My daughter told me about this site and I'm glad I found it!

I love the Dabby Reid Ltd. designs (here's one at Nordstrom.com - you can use the zoom feature to see the chain used pretty well) and I'd love to make necklaces using that type of chain. It's definitely not a coated wire, I've checked out just about every type, but a very thin, tightly twisted chain. Her designs have black, bronze, gold and silver colored chain which is described as base metal and plated, if gold or silver. If anyone knows where it can be purchased, I'd be very grateful!
