1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / victorian wall mural on: October 01, 2013 01:15:24 PM
This is a combination of a mural and a collage with all sort of things that inspire me. It's on the wall in my craftroom. I made the design myself, after an old victorian-looking mirror. Hope you like, let me know:) Produced with a little help of a beamer. 3 layers of off white paint.

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Spring/Summer jacket on: October 01, 2013 01:06:18 PM

This is a summer jacket I made for last season. It started out with a pattern but I made a lot of alterations along the way. It does look a little short on me (I'm a tall girl from Holland) but in general I do like the way it turned out. The colourfull fabric is from the Albert Cuyp market in Holland, at 5 dollar a metre, a real bargain. It used to be a more exensive fabric, but due to a little weave error it was this low a price:) Happy me.

Comments are allways appreciated, let me know what you think:)
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Lola the Fox, Lars the Wolf and Nori the Panther on: October 01, 2013 12:53:32 PM
Last weeks I've been making these design plushies, after my own pattern. It started with a fox, named Lola. Soon came the wolf and the panther. They are completely made from recycled materials, like old sweaters and fabrics:). Let me know what you think!

4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Alice in Wonderland Nesting dolls on: April 01, 2010 04:44:11 AM

I made these nesting dolls before the huge AliceMadness already, but thought I'd post them now Smiley
They were plain wood, painted with acryllics. I tried to stay loyal to the original designs, not so much the Disney version. The littlest one measures 2 cm's. The Drink Me bottle is slightly hand-carved to create the bottle shape.

Alice is holding the flamingo, cuz they are golfing with those poor creatures Wink. The little alice is holding a tiny mouse.

I'm kinda smitten with them, might keep them for myself Cheesy hope you like them too!
Thanks for looking, comments and criticism are always appreciated.  Kiss
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Bird Matryoshka on: November 29, 2009 08:56:35 AM
Thaks ppl for the lovely comments Smiley

The third bird is a bluethroat, a not so common bird, but very cute in real life Cheesy

I bought the Matryoshka dolls in a local crafts store. Maybe you could check the internet for them? I'll bet they're sold somewhere Smiley
6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: cupcake on: November 24, 2009 01:33:03 PM
Wow, it looks wonderfull! Lucky birthday girl Cheesy

What technique did you use?? I'm makin some Art Nouveau drawings at the time, and I'm not sure which medium to use. I bought this comic drawing paper, 'cause I think watercolour paper sucks the ink up? And I was wondering what kind of pen you use? Just dipping with acryl ink? I first worked with a fountain pen, but the ink that I used is waterdilutable, so no good in combination with watercolours.

Hope you can help me out!
Thanks in advance:)

Made these for a swap. Just plain wooden matryoshka dolls painted with acrylics. Cause of where my swap partner lived, I chose for common european birds.  Hope you like Kiss!

10  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Birds birds birds Swap Gallery on: September 14, 2009 02:54:53 AM
Thanks for the compliments!! Cheesy

In a year I want another slightly different one on my right shoulder. And eventually a full back piece Grin. My mum deff doesnt like that idea however Wink

I wasn't sure for a long time about the place. First I wanted it under my collarbone, but I decided against it. This place is much more convenient and easely hidden for work Wink

I'm very curious at your going-to-be tattoo Mouser! I love the meaning behind the idea! I always like tattoos more if they mean something special for the owner, especially if that meaning is a bit hidden Smiley
