4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Marilyn Monroe on: August 28, 2010 03:40:35 PM

This was one of my very first completed cross-stitch projects. Before I even realized why stitching from the middle of the fabric is much better than starting at the end  Undecided
Anyways, I finally came up with this solution so I could finally show off my work. Iron-on backing is my new best friend!
The Marilyn pattern came from CrossStitcher magazine, and the plaid background was my own doing.
I hope that you like!
5  Florida / Florida: Central / Bradenton/Sarasota area shops? on: October 24, 2009 06:08:01 AM
I'm new to the area and have yet to discover any local craft shops, aside from the obvious chain stores. If any knows of one I'd love to know about it!
6  Florida / Florida: Central / Re: Moving to Tampa! on: October 24, 2009 06:00:36 AM
Sorry I didn't reply before! Between the move and my ridiculous computer I haven't had a chance until now.
ANYWAYS, we ended up moving to Bradenton, and since I have a toddler that hates long car rides, Tampa is a little too far for me right now. However, I would love to meet up with anyone in the Bradenton area or that doesn't mind coming out here!
7  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: audrey's quilt on: October 24, 2009 05:51:38 AM
This is beyond gorgeous! I especially love the panel in the back that ties it all together very nicely.
8  Florida / Florida: Central / Moving to Tampa! on: June 27, 2009 01:57:32 PM
So I will be moving to the Tampa area in August from Tennessee. Currently, no one around where I live crafts (except for old ladies quilting, which is cool too, but you know what I mean...) and I definatly want that to change when I move! I need crafty friends! SO if there is any sort of local craft scenes or anyone that would live to meet up, let me know, please!
(My favorite craft is embroidery, but I dabble in everything...)
9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Union Jack cushion on: June 10, 2009 07:33:37 PM
Love it! This has been on my 'to-stitch' list for a VERY long time, so I'm happy to see someone got around to it! Love everything you did with it...it's fabulous!
10  UNITED STATES / Tennessee / Re: Tennessee? on: September 10, 2008 09:15:55 AM
Bell Buckle is realy the only town I can think of besides the obvious. It's near Manchester and it's the most adourable little town you'll ever see. The Bell Buckle Cafe has food to die for.
I only live abt 30 mins from Manchester and have sadly missed the 'roo the past 2 years but plan on taking my baby next year for her first time. I can hardly wait!
