3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: HEY EVERYBODY! Post your Wedding Song on: April 24, 2008 08:17:51 AM
Even though my BF and I are not officially engaged yet we are thinking that there will be a wedding sometime in the next year or so.  Of course I can't help but start planning in my head.  I have at least three songs that I know I want incorporated somehow

"Somersault" by Zero 7
"As" by Stevie Wonder
"I Will Follow You Into the Dark" by Death Cab for Cutie

I love the thought of having non-traditional wedding music, thanks for more great ideas everyone!
4  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Just a GIANT cupcake on: April 23, 2008 09:12:16 PM
I just discovered this pan last week and am waiting for a coupon for Joanns or Michaels.  I think it would be great to decorate for a casual wedding reception and serve regular sized cupcakes along with it.  That's the plan right now, even though the BF and I aren't even engaged yet.  I told him about my idea, and sadly he was not quite as enthused as I.  Oh well...I'm still buying the pan!

Great idea for recycling Pringles cans!  I think I might be reorganizing my craft area...
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Vintage His and Hers Bedroom Wall Art for less than $20 on: April 18, 2008 10:06:03 AM
So I'm all about saving money, especially when it comes to artwork.  Recently while at an antique mall I fell in love with the stacks of vintage magazine ads and covers.  I picked up these two ads. that I thought would be perfect as his and hers bedroom wall art for around $5 each.  The frames were bought at a thrift store for $3 each.  I was lucky enough to find a matching pair, and painted them with some leftover spray paint.

The ads. were slightly under 11x14 so I placed some matching scrapbook paper behind it.

Go check out your local antique store!  My local Brass Armadillo Antique Mall has rows and rows of old magazine ads and covers sorted by topic.  I also picked up a few others, an old PBR beer ad for over the bar and some food ads for the kitchen.

8  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Lucy's Pretty Pink Polkadot Princess Party Dress! on: March 15, 2008 04:04:40 PM
Lucy is beautiful, especially in her pretty pink dress!  My bully Winston would never sit still long enough for me to measure him.  In the future I want to make a tux for him so he can be the ring bearer in my wedding...unfortunately I don't think my boyfriend likes the idea.  I agree that it is hard to find clothes that fit bulldogs, you should start a business!
9  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Mini-accordion box on: March 12, 2008 07:29:35 AM
Very nice, you did a great job!  I've been wanting to make a coupon holder for awhile now...I think this would be a great way to go.  Thanks for posting the tutorial!

I love your pendants...ACE is definitely blinging and not trashy!  I have always wanted to try using resin.  Have any suggestions or tips for new resin crafters?
