21  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Scarf Mania(PIX TO THE EXTREME!) on: August 28, 2008 05:08:37 PM
;DSo my new passion for the moment is SCARVES! Now, I live in Minnesota.. and let me tell you that you can NEVER start a scarf too early or have too many of them... lol. The first two were made with a J/5.50mm hook and Red Heart Worstened/medium yarn. The third is a shell pattern made with a K hook and Patons Brilliant yarn (which is now discontinued in Mn..*sigh*)the fringe is Red Heart sparkly something or other. Finally the last is a work in progress Queen Anne's Lace scarf (Found here: http://1craftyboy.wordpress.com/2007/12/11/okey-dokey/)done with a J hook in TLC Essentials - High Plains. Please enjoy, and let me know what u think.*smiles*
Harry Potter Scarf for my hubby: (or if ur from Mn, GO Gophers Go!)

Zelda/Tri-Force Hood Scarf:
Again some rivalries were brought up with this scarf.. I kept getting evil looks bc ppl thought I was working on a Packers scarf. (yeah ppl in MN are passionate about their sports)

Shiny Sparkles Hood Scarf:
I lied to my hubby and told him I've seen guys model girlier/weirder things on Craftster...lol. But what the hey.. he was already standing and willing to model...muahahahah!

So being bored as I am, with no orders coming my way, I decided to make another tank top for my friends to model. Hopefully this one actually fits so I can post more pic. Please comment and feel free to imitate..lol. *smiles*

Front detail and lace: (I used both lime green and brown lace)

23  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / RIDICULOUSLY OVER ACCESORIZED AMI'S!!!!YAYAYAY! on: July 13, 2008 06:23:06 PM
So I might have gone a little crazy on the whole polymer clay+amigurumi equation, but I love going all out on my projects. SO I present to you, Pedro and Van Gogh! Pedro was a special order from a friend.. he even has his own burrito! Funny story about Van Gogh, is that when I showed him to a friend she asked, "So when are you going to do the other ear.?" For those of you familiar with the pattern, you know this is a head tie.. lol. Therefore Van Gogh was born.. Ta Da! Please Enjoy, and dont forget to pick up your copy of Creepy Cute Crochet. (You'd think they were paying me for the advertizement..lol) But really it's inspired me to crochet like mad! *Muahahahahah**Cough Cough*
Pedro and Van Gogh:

Pedro w/ his burrito, poncho and Sombrero:

Van Gogh w/ Accessories, a katana, cell phone, throwing star, dagger, Robot minion and grappling hook. I've yet to bake them, but I might have gone a little crazy..lol:

All of my faces are dont with 3D Fabric paint, it leaves a nice texture.

26  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Doll crazy! First Attempts *pic heavy* on: June 24, 2008 06:52:48 PM
These are my first attempts at some dolls, I would call them Amigurumi, but I don't think they're cute enough for that. I got my basic pattern from Creepy Cute Crochet http://www.shop.com/+-a-creepy+cute+crochet-p110702214-k36-st.shtml, and basically took crazy leaps from there. I'd love any comments, good or bad, and lots more ideas! *smiles*

27  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Nintendo+Fathers Day= AWESOME! on: June 09, 2008 06:30:19 PM
This is my pressy for the hubby for his first Father's Day. I've been talking about doing a family portrait for a while, and since he's such a huge Mario fan, I thought this was a great spoof of that whole idea. Here's hoping he loves it as much as I do. Below is a rough sketch of the pattern I made up. I started out with sprites from Paper Mario, and with a little help from Microsoft Paint, I got my final result. Enjoy! And thanx for looking!*smiles*

I finished it off with our last name and an '08, but for my own sanity I've blocked that part out.. but you'll be glad, my lettering is atrocious.

28  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Many Hats IMG OBESE on: May 29, 2008 10:27:25 PM
These are all the hats I've made thus far, it all started with some to make my son a little cuter and it just kept going from there. Please share your comment. *smiles*
Rawr! When bear-babies attack!
Bunnie Hat, one of my faves.
Kitty hat order.
Easter bonner order.
Baby present for a little girl.
I use co-workers as guinea pigs.. I mean models.. yes, models.
And my latest creation, I believe the middle is a "sunburst" but i'm not sure.. and the edge is my first attempt at "broomstick". This one was inspired by https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=239390.0 Hope you all enjoy! Grin
29  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crocheted Summer Fun! on: May 24, 2008 04:38:02 PM
Bored with baby crochets, I decided instead to get ready for summer with this little number. I actually made it for a friend and traded it for a 27 Inch tv..lol. Totally worth it! Grin I just used some worsted black Red Heart yarn and the top of the bikini was all hd crochets. Basically 5 hd, chain 2, repeat 2 times and join for a triangle. I think it was actually too simple.. the bottom on the other hand was a nightmare..lol. But it turned out well i think. The top is a 36 DD and the bottom is Small. Yeah.. I hate my friend too..darn shapely women.  Wink

30  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Granny Janes on: May 24, 2008 04:29:03 PM
A co-worker of mine ordered some slippers.. and it took me forever to hunt down this pattern. I had to buy the book, The Great Granny Crochet on Ebay http://www.goantiques.com/detail,great-granny-crochet,996612.html, but luckily it shipped fast. Here's the result, hope you all like. *smiles*
