How lovely... seeing all these finished towels !!!

Here is mine...

And I'm using it for:

This is a close up of Therisa's addition to my towel:

I am very happy with my towel !!!  Smiley Wink Cheesy
I plan to finish it sometime soon. Will be adding 2 more designs to fill in the empty spots and probably will be adding a border or binding or something , not quite sure yet.

12  Re: The big thread of transfer pen/pencil questions in Needlework: Discussion and Questions by Dona Leonor on: November 06, 2008 04:52:29 PM
LADIES  Wink Cheesy Grin Cool !!!!

I found this pen and from now on embroidering on
dark fabrics is going to be a piece of cake (or at least easier than it was before this pen)!!!

It's from Clover and its name is... White Marking Pen Clover (Fine)

See it for yourselves !!!!

I decided to use my light box and trace a pattern onto soluble stabilizer (from Annie Oak Leaves)

This one is with a black shirt underneath:

This one is right after I finished with the tracing:

This one well... just drew a little circle directly on the fabric :

I hope this helps those of you looking for the perfect solution for embroidering
on dark fabrics !!!

13  Mini hand embroidered pot holder (link to pot holder pattern) in Needlework: Completed Projects by Dona Leonor on: November 04, 2008 05:26:00 PM
This is a very easy and quick project. The embroidery part is what take most of the time but since it will only fit a small pattern/design it doesn't take that long... enough of rambling  Wink.

I'm really happy how this turned out ! Stitched with only one strand of floss.
What do you think ?

Hi Ladies,
Here is my contribution to Beetastic's apron, hers has 50's diner as theme, this is a lovely couple of Platypus, image chosen based on a post on Bee's blog were she is talking about her wedding anniversary with a pic. of her and her hubby and colors chosen by looking at her wist list:

It was challenging because I didn't have any image or pattern on hand that will go with Bee's theme, so after A Lot of Googling I decided to simplify (a whole lot by photocopying, using liquid paper and photocopying again, then ironed it straight from the copier to her apron ... Wink ) this image:

Bee... I hope you like it !

So instead of posting my contribution to sundayafternoonhousewife's towel tomorrow , will do it today...  Wink

Here it is:

(a pic. of the full view goes here, but the editing here on craftster is giving me hard time doesn't want to flip the pic. so here is a link to my flickr where you can see it
:http://www.flickr.com/photos/nikismami/2876945205/ )

This is the book from which I got the pattern:

I modified the pattern a little. The author of this booklet is Jennie Baer from www.homeberries.com.

Sundayafternoonhousewife.... I hope you like it !  I was having a little trouble embroidering my crafter's user name because of trying to do it in small letters so
I just did the initials... I hope that's fine with you ! Embarrassed
