alwaysinmyroom , thanks! Looking forward to taking a peek at your choice of fabrics/jellyroll.

lindyv321 , I'm in!

To everyone ... If not working yet with prepping fabrics and/or stitching... Are you getting your paper hexagons pieces ready? Or are you getting precut ones?
I did cut mine for the ones I used on Summer and Winter, this time around I got precut ones.
Also.... Will you be thread basting or glue basting your hexies? I might give glue basting a try this time around.

**I did not stick with the Summer and Winter Clubs as suggested (mini quilt/table mat) since I wanted to combine them on one quilt**

Here a peek at my Summer Stitching Club:

Here is a peek at my Winter Stitching Club which is still in progress (please ignore Mrs. Laundry Hen Wink ):

As you can see, I used same fabrics for both since they'll become one quilt. I'm really enjoying this Seasonal Stitching Clubs by Wild Olive / Mollie Johanson!

Hello, I haven't been around here for a long while, but really need to make progress on my Wild Olive Spring Stitching Club and finish the Winter one. Perhaps I'll join y'all on this SAL.

Is this space only for keeping up with the Spring one?
Here's my progress, so far:

6  Mine or Your(s) ... Favorite Tool of the Trade (Hand Embroidery)!!!??? in Needlework: Discussion and Questions by Dona Leonor on: December 11, 2008 12:06:59 AM
So there always is something specific that we fall in love with from our embroidery/stitchery supplies/tools.

Well I love my night light (book light). Got it a while ago for about $5.00 from Michael's with a coupon and founded @ the needlework supplies area and in front of the OTT lamps hanging at the lower level of the peg board (or whatever that is called  Wink Roll Eyes)

I think the pictures don't do justice... to me it lights more than what it shows.
I also use this lamp for crocheting at night and of course for reading  Wink .
Going thru lots of insomnia episodes do to FM... Undecided (like at this very moment).

What are your fav's tools Huh!!!

7  Drawstring Pencil/Supplies Bag from a Leg ;-) !!! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Dona Leonor on: December 04, 2008 05:25:58 PM
Hi everyone !
I normally hang out at the Needlework area, sometimes in the Crochet area but now made this little drawstring bag and wanted to share...

Made from one leg of a pair of jeans size 18 months.
I have a terrible (emotional) time getting rid of my dd's outgrown cloths so I want to preserve some by reusing/recycle/repurpose.

Here it is...

My source:

The casing for the drawstring its already made ... the seam of the leg. Just remove a few stitches and thread your string thru it  Wink .

What do you think !!!?Huh

8  Bear ami, soap bag, dish cloth, wash cloth, HK granny square... in Crochet: Completed Projects by Dona Leonor on: November 23, 2008 03:14:53 PM
Hi y'all  Wink !

I've being lurking around this area here for a while... you would normally find me on the
Needlework area (hand embroidery).
But the crochet bug its bitting very hard lately, so I guess you will see me a little more often around here  Smiley.

I'm kind of a newbie and wanted to share what I have crocheted so far,

And my latest...(my very 1st time crocheting an oval, joining yarn, crocheting with
dif. yarn colors, crocheting an oval)

And with the help of a fellow Craftster ... The Hello Kitty granny square,

It's not perfect but I still like it :-) !

Thanks for looking,
Constructive feedback welcome !!!

9  Re: Anyone know how to make the Hello Kitty Granny Square? in Crochet: Discussion and Questions by Dona Leonor on: November 23, 2008 02:59:13 PM
I'm kind of a crochet newbie (very 1st and 2nd projects here):

and since I saw/read this topic a few months ago... fell in love the HK granny square. Couldn't figure it out , not even after reading all the very good info posted here.
I'm very thankful to one of the members here on Craftster that guided me... Thanks for your kindness and generosity in taking the time to explain this to me !!!

This is my very 1st time:  joining yarn ,  crocheting in an oval , crocheting in dif. yarn colors, and my very 1st granny square !!!

I know it is less than perfect, but not too bad  Wink ! At least it could resemble one of HK relatives... Cheesy Wink Roll Eyes !

Thanks Again for your help !

BTW... I will love to improve (for now) the ears... any pointers will be greatly appreciated !!!

Here is a close up of one of the ears,
