21  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: Brown and Cream Invitations on: September 23, 2008 05:22:48 AM
I really like all three. They are very unlike any wedding invitations I have seen in "real life".

Just a little grammatical thing....the year written out should be "two thousand nine" and not "two thousand AND nine"....am I correct?
22  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Canning - Pickled Okra on: September 22, 2008 07:58:40 PM
One of my brother's and my favorites growing up! Dredge it in some corn meal and pan-fry...yum yum!!!! Although my grandmother never put garlic or peppers in hers...
23  COOKING / Dessert / Re: My Edible Harley! MMM Vroom! on: June 03, 2008 04:09:31 PM
That is very cool!!! Did the black frosting turn mouths black? That happened with a cake I had one time.... Smiley
24  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: detergent box on: May 18, 2008 06:23:34 PM
A few years back, I painted and stamped the outside of a detergent box and lined the inside with felt. It is a great place to store any loose photographs, letters, or other sentimental items.

If I remember correctly, I just used acrylic paint and then sealed it with clear spray paint. It peeled and flaked off after a while, so some other type of paint might work better.

Love it! I have been wanting to make one that has "Crime Scene Do Not Cross" or something like that; it would be perfect for me to wear to work (I'm a forensic scientist)!
26  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: knit felted flowers! on: April 14, 2008 07:52:34 PM
All of the flowers are very pretty! Did your sis make up the shaping as she went, or did she follow a pattern?
