YUM! I love trying new soups, so I will have to make this one soon! Thank you for the recipe!

12  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: My version of the Olympic opening ceremony US Hat on: February 26, 2010 05:29:51 PM
I wanted one of the Olympics hats as soon as I saw them! But I love yours even better! It makes me wish I could knit fair isle (that stuff totally intimidates me!).
13  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Olympic Ice Dance Final themed cake for a tv-watching night (IMG HEAVY) on: February 24, 2010 05:23:46 AM
The cake is absolutely adorable!
And the smurf marshmallows...love them. I've never seen them before.

That is incredibly cute!
15  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Glass Ball Ornaments... Need help with top part! take a look! Img Heavy! on: February 20, 2010 05:56:11 AM
Very cute idea! I think the amount of sand and shells is just right. But you are right about it lacking something. Can you draw/paint well? You could paint a beach scene on the back side of the ornament so that you can see it through the other side of the ball.

As for securing the top pieces...maybe super glue? It should bond well with both the glass and metal.
16  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Instant Gratification Scarf on: December 08, 2009 07:29:27 PM
That is beautiful! I made one with a similar cable in orange recently; it ended up being a 30th b-day present from my sister to a member of one of her favorite bands.  Smiley
17  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: The worlds smallest Paul McCartney on: November 03, 2009 03:34:59 PM
What a cutie! He is going to be a heartbreaker when he grows up (just like Paul McCartney)! Smiley I think this is the coolest kid's costume I have ever seen!
18  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: a Dopey Costume on: November 03, 2009 03:25:21 PM
That is so darn cute! He does look like dopey! Smiley Love both of the costumes!
19  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Round baby blanket--1st crochet project! on: October 10, 2009 10:09:37 AM
This was my first "real" crochet project. I am a knitter, but I wanted to venture out a bit. In my very humble inexperienced opinion, crochet is the easier technique for making large projects. I wanted to do something a little different, and I am not a fan of the turning chain (I will just have to get over it eventually). So I made the blanket in a big spiral. I increased stitches a little too quickly at the beginning, so there is some wavy-ness. But I like it. Smiley The yarn is 100% cotton (Peaches and Cream) in a few different colors. It is a present for one of my many friends who have just had a baby or are pregnant (mostly with boys!).

I forgot to measure the diameter, but I would estimate that it is about  2 1/2-3 feet across.

20  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: 16 hour owl bookmark :P on: April 19, 2009 05:34:15 PM
Where can I get this pattern?  I am not a cross stitcher, but I would like to get my friend to make it for me.
