It was my first one too, the funny part was she was meant to be. You see, I in crafting world did the big uh oh...I FORGOT she was in the oven.

Anyway, I also have a portrait I am working on that I was inspired to make after watching my oldest daughter do something.

23  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Give me some Cardiac Lovin baby on: April 29, 2009 11:32:03 AM
Okay so I was bored and decided out of no where to take a cheap black shirt I made and make it really ME:P

Nothing to big....but it took an hour with trimming and silly incidentals..then waiting for the kids to not be in sight.

I have thermaphobia which basically is a fear of heat....very loosely translated in my book. I have a specific fear and that is of IRONS...not even curling irons...just regular ole press your clothes irons. When I was about 6 my mother had her iron stretched across the room and my ada and I did not know...and ya well I was the victim of a VERY NASTY burn on my right arm. I never get a tan because if I did half of my lower right arm would be extremely lighter than the rest.

Anyway, I wait for them to not be anywhere in sight and the older 2 are nearing the exit stage left to college age. LOL

25  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / HP shoes ( I am not the original craftster) Just FAN on: April 18, 2009 04:21:05 PM
First, I must give the credit where is it is beyond due for the idea.

I did not catch who made them...Sorry!!!!!!!!! Sad

I think Jo was the artists real name...Please forgive me T.T

O___O" Anyway, I made my own version because I really fan-girled really bad. I still think hers are better, but I am happy ^__^

I did change the colors from hers. I also placed Luna's Radishes for the other shoe. I wish the pictures came out better.

I just want to make sure any of you HP fans go over and give a shout out to her wonderful inspiration. Those shoes actually made me go out of my way to go into a new medium for me to play with!

I just want it to be known...I am NOT trying to take credit for idea. I'm just sharing some HP love and the fangirl side of myself with her shoes...^___^
26  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / A must see-Not my work but awesome none the less on: January 23, 2009 04:45:59 AM
Hi everyone.

I amnot sure if I should post this here...so if it gets removed or moved I am cool with it. I just HAD to share this article I found.

This is the title of the article
Knitters turn to graffiti artists with 'yarnbombing'
Graffiti artists have added a new tool their traditional aerosol cans knitting needles and a ball of wool.

and here is the source read

I had to post this among fellow knitters!!!
27  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Dark Mark Painting on: December 29, 2008 03:52:54 PM
I made this for my friend who is a big Slytherin fan. So, naturally, I painted a portrait of the Dark Mark for her.

I really hated the green I used. I wish I had found a metallic green, but I did not really want to go driving all over town for one bottle of paint.

But she really liked it. Cheesy

29  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Bono Painting for SIL 4 Xmas on: December 16, 2008 12:42:59 PM
Okay, so my SIL is hard to buy for. Not that I really have money to buy anything. So, I know she is a die hard Bono freak:P I hope this was the right place to post this. I never really learned to use stencils. So, I saw an image of a stencil online. I sat looking at my Mac screen and drew the image on a canvas size 11 x 14 and then painted it. This is my first ever time doing something like this. I hope you like it. I do have texture on it, but it did not show up well in the image. I did a splatter effect on it.

C/C welcome
Would you give this to a SIL if she were a Bono Freak?
30  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / FMA first ever embroidery attempt on: December 16, 2008 07:25:02 AM
Hi okay this is my very first attempt at hand embroidery. My 14 year old daughter is a Full Metal Alchemist fan. I found this adorable fitted black dress at a local thrift store. It fits in that category of every girl should have a little black dress. Tongue

The material was VERY difficult for me as it was made of 62% polyester, 33% cotton, and 5% spandex. I want opinions from non household family members.

My daughter is not overtly picky, but I am making this for xmas. Should I give it to her?
