1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Gothic Pin Cushion on: December 13, 2011 02:14:06 PM
Hopefully, I am placing this in the correct place. I made this about a month ago, but thought I should finally share it. Hope you all like it.

I wanted a pin cushion that was NOT on my table when sewing.  I still wanted it within reach, and I never look at things normally. LOL

So, I had two broken wood candle sticks, a broken oil burner, a lamp shade, beads, paint, clear accent gems, and nothing but time on my side. LOL

Sorry about the cropping, but I took the picture in the garage.

2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Revamped Lamp on: October 20, 2011 02:29:38 PM
Okay. I'm definitely on the dark side of decorating spectrum pool. Basically if it isn't occult, weird, odd, or just down right gothic in some way, I probably won't have it. LOL

My entire house when I first moved in was that icky boring beige/tan, that all realtors love but I hate it.  Well, I found this minty paint thought I could try the whole airy feel...I was depressed for weeks if not months before I finally got hubby on board to coin of a phrase from Beetlejuice "I'm here with you. I will live with you in this hellhole, but I must express myself. If you don't let me gut out this house and make it my own, I will go insane, and I will take you with me!" I swear that was my exact reaction to buying this house. LOL

Anyway, this is just one small thing I have done, if I can actually find old pics of the house from last year when we moved in...I will post those with all my changes. I am sure not everyone will like it, as I said, I am a very STRANGE LADY! LOL

Here is my now BLACK chandelier with fabric coffin lampshades. Yes, I am missing a few lights, been very lazy on buying them. Tongue

Oh that Marine in the background is my son. Yes, I am very PROUD! LOL
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Goddess Triple Moon Jacket on: October 20, 2011 02:16:12 PM
I made this last year, but I am finally posting it. I hope those of you in the WWP Community do. It took a couple of weeks between the painting the the individual bead stitching. I really want to create more like this.

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Triple Moon Pendant on: January 13, 2011 09:29:29 PM
This is my very first attempt at taking Abalone shells and turning it into W/W/P Jewelry. I used 3 different shells and came up with this, again is a rough draft.
I hope some of you like it half as much as I do!

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Moogle Lovin on: January 10, 2011 05:07:48 AM
Okay, so my youngest daughter T (our nick name for her, pronounced TAY) had come home with a simple fleece Moogle hat she borrowed from an older con member. The cute part was, it was on a day she was wearing the American McGee's Alice cosplay I had made for her...Anyway, I knew I would make her a Moogle hat eventually.

Well if finally happened after much pondering last night, I came up with this. I have yet to find a crochet pattern for a Moogle hat, I know I have tried, albeit not extensively.

Anyway, I can't wait for her to wake up on this lovely "Snow Day out" and see her hat waiting for her.

I hope all you Final Fantasy Lovers like the hat!!!
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Transformer Purse = Happy Teen Daughter on: January 08, 2011 10:50:01 PM
I hope I am posting this item in the right place. I recycled clothes to make this bag, so I was not sure.

I frequent a by the pound thrift store/charity shop. I found a size 22  gray jersey knit fabric and my daughter found the Transformer shirt..."I want a purse made out of this!!!!" shout came from across the bin.

So, she got it.

See Happy Teen:P
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Gir Hat love on: January 08, 2011 10:42:32 PM

Well my youngest daughter T has bee been into Invader Zim since she was very little because her siblings watched it, now she can watch it again...Desperately, she whimpered and moaned that I make her something as long it was Gir.

She was happy when she came home a couple of days ago, and this was waiting on her bed for her. She came downstairs shouting...
"OMG!"  People are sooooooo envious of me at school and they don't even know it yet!"

LOL I guess I did okay. Thanks to all the lovely ideas I have seen on crafters. Naturally, I eyeballed several different pictures and then...just went for it. I stuff the eyeballs to make them puffy.

Thanks for the inspiration from all of you that have knitted or crocheted a Gir Hat. I finally made one for a happy kid! LOL
8  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Toxic Voodoo Doll (pic slightly obese) on: January 08, 2011 10:34:25 PM

My teenage daughter has been on this..."I want a Voodoo doll" kick; so, I made her one.

These show the process, it was my first crochet doll. I'm happy with it for the amount of time it took. The hair took FOREVER!

end result
Happy Teenager! YESH!!!! Nerdfighters!

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / M.I.C.K...E.....Y M.O.U.S.Eeeeeee Hat,Scarf and mittens set on: December 28, 2010 01:43:57 PM
So a friend went to Disney a week before holiday and it was her own gift to herself. Well, I was not expecting a gift from her and I got one. So naturally I had to make her something, and how perfect a set to keep her warm  in.

My daughter is modeling it in these pictures.

My daughter wants a set for herself now. LOL Hope it is well liked by all the Mickey Fans out there.
10  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Raven's Wizarding Boots (scores of pics) on: December 17, 2010 05:25:33 AM
I forgot to take pictures of the other boot, but this one is basically what the other looks like.

I bought these plain black Air Walks LAST YEAR, intending to this very craft to them.

Like many on here I love Harry Potter, I'm also W/W/P (whichever you wish to call me, doesn't matter much) and I am an avid LARP/SCA lover as well as a dye hard gypsy/hippie/punky kind of girl. So naturally, this would be the result of my dreams. LOL

30 hours later and a nice set of recrafted knee high sneaker boots.

I know it's a voluminous about of pictures but it really meant a lot for me to spend this many hours on one project. LOL I really like crafts I can get done fast, to enjoy the work. These however, I really did enjoy even tho my finger tips are absolutely callused enough I think I can pick up my guitar again, and should. LOL

C/C welcome.
