12  Re: The Candy/Sweets Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by Lellibo on: October 03, 2008 11:29:24 AM
Well Today I received My Package from My swap partner Cerulean_eyes..... Boy was it worth the wait!

So now the piccys!

here are the shots of what was in the box

here is a close up on some stuffy Magnets that were sent

and here is a nice little hanging cushion (hand embroidered that is really insane)

Apliqued strawberry on the front of my bag from pic 2

A cherry stained glass work

some beatiful jewelery

Now the candy part (and what a stash it was)

the mountain of tootsie sweets

there was a flavoured lip gloss but it is very camera shy

Naughty Naughty passing addictions overseas. :p

But wow what a swap partner, and thank you very much for spoiling me.

13  WEEE First quilt top :D in Quilting: Completed Projects by Lellibo on: June 15, 2008 02:48:43 PM
This started out because i wanted to start collecting fabrics to quilt with and my partners mothers says "Oh I've got some patchwork i started ages ago do you want to finish it?". So i jumped at the chance got the bag of fabric home and there was two rows of patches sewed together and loads of loose patches. I wouldn't have had enough patches to make a decent sized quilt so i cut the two rows in half and sewed one to the other adding another row on (Hope that makes sense). So an hour later and i had this
i know it looks wonky but some of the patches weren't cut properly and i wasn't overly fussed with it being neat but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out for my first quilt top. Close up of some of the squares.

Thankyou for looking any constructive criticism is greatly appreciated.

14  tri colour sponge cake in Dessert by Lellibo on: May 19, 2008 10:47:21 AM
well I decided to do a 3 colour cake for a games night we were having and decided to show you how to aswell.
The recipe is your basic victoria sandwich cake/sponge cake recipe, Each coloured section was done with 2 ounces of butter, sugar and flour and 1 large egg (colouring to personal preference(loads for me lol))
The plain top was done double the rest so 4 ounces of butter, sugar and flour plus 2 eggs.
to seperate the bottom colours into the ring i used a plastic ring bout 4-6 inches diameter poured one inside it and the other outside then whipped the ring away, just layer plain over the top and hopefully no-one can tell anydifferent.

without further delay the piccy's

please let me know what you think
