Hey guys,
i feel like maybe im posting too often, perhaps due to the extreme amount of work im trying to igore, but i just finished this necklace and i kind of love it. i made another one similar in style but with totally different colors and shapes, which i may post sometime, but right now i just want to stare at this one alone.

A hideous bird on a pearly perch:

13  Collaged and Printed Birthday Cardies! in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by FinDPartie on: March 05, 2005 11:46:48 PM
Whee! My grandma's turning 81 next week and i had to make her a card. i love collage, but i tend to use vogue magazine, as its the only thing i have lying around beside myriad textbooks, so i had to use the grandma-iest things i could find in it. it worked, though, and even makes sense, because my little sister has straight brown hair and green eyes, and i have wavy blonde hair and blue eyes, so that picture was perfect to be us, and the rest of the generic prettiness works with it. The other card, for no one in particular, features some Neil Diamond lyrics (so cool, i know) i swiped and used my printer to put onto a magazine page. just a word of caution: the ink tends to bubble up and not dry on glossy pages, so i used a pencil eraser to take the finish off the page so it would take. it worked well, especially since faded jeans naturally look hot. hope you all like!

14  Re: Many Uses For / Incarnations Of Picture Marbles in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by FinDPartie on: February 12, 2005 06:11:56 AM
ooh me too me too!
i was looking through one of my craft boxes earlier and i found some stick pin back things i bought a million years ago when a craft store was going out of business. i dont know what im going to do with them, seeing as i am not fifty, but i thought id stick some picture marbles on and maybe i'll even wear them sometime. if not, theyre pleasing to look at, and can live on my blazer. also, here are some magnets on le petit refrigerator in my dorm. i guess im just in a picture posting mood, maybe for lack of sleep. sorry this is going to be humongous.

15  Like I'm the only person to ever make a flower pin... in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by FinDPartie on: February 07, 2005 10:51:24 PM
Hey kiddies.  Ive never posted a project before, but i finally got my ass in gear and took pictures of some stuff.  It looks suspiciously like a magpie pin, so i feel slightly less creative, but im also not shelling out 98 dollars to henri bendel for some felt.  I have some other ones in different color combinations that i may post another time if anyone would like to see the pretty things i can make Smiley
